Is it just me, or does this entire story seem like it came straight out of Babylon 5? I guess the real question is which came first, and then whether the people behind Galciv are fans of Harlan Ellison just like B5.

Absolutely, this feature would make me stop cringing once I reach an endgame. Maybe include a prioritization system to put starbase x higher on the upgrade list than starbase y. Better yet, be able to click a box which designates starbase x as a culture base for instance. It will be upgraded as much as possible as new culture techs become available.

Well, sounds like a bug to me, if that wasn't already obvious. What version do you have? 1.02? What type of resource was it? How many other starbases were in the sector with the 4/0 movement? Did movement stop after you left that system? How many Drengin asses did you kick? :) AFAIK, the only way a starbase can move is if you complete the terror star upgrade, and then it is only at a lousy 1 space per month. Okay, Raumkraut, you are thinking waaaaay too hard. Working off of Occams (sp?) razor, I bet they just wanted to get someone like me to say something about how smart I am on their message board for figuring out the big surrounding the image. Does anybody else find it silly or at least amusing that the survey ship you started with becomes an unstoppable engine of destruction after a few hundred months of exploring? Currently my survey ship has a defense of 19 and an attack of 14, with 84 hit points! I can and do kill anything, with a ship that was designed to 'seek out new life' and 'boldly go where no man has gone before', but can also can vaporize that life wherever it goes?
