Hmm, that explains a lot. I haven't bothered looking at my survey ship to see how powerful it gets (will going forward), but I have noticed that the AI has never been able to take it down. Survey this, buddy boy.

I've won three games now via the cultural victory, so I decided to go for the military win last night. I'm still getting my space legs as it were, so I was playing on the beginner level. I teched myself up to frigates and basically attacked the whole of the universe at once since all the AI players were so far behind me in tech, money, and general POWAH. I destroyed every ship and starbase in the known universe that wasn't my own, yet I couldn't figure out why military victory status wouldn't
Hi all, Long time listener, first time caller. Well, not really THAT long of a listener, but I've been stalking the boards for a couple of weeks now. Hello, hello, and hello. :) Finished my first and second games last night, and man, what a hoot. I'd have to say that Galactic Civ is certainly the most fun I've had playing a turn-based strat game in a long time. Elegant interface, simple to get into, and tons of depth. Awesome stuff.
