Your full of it Empyrean.Starforce never damaged my computer in any way other than being a pain in the butt.I don't like it but it's far less draconion than this fouled up system. I'm being shafted for running the game on a non-internet computer. .And you should read the download instrutions for the beta before shooting off your big mouth because it doesn't say anything about having to be connected to the internet. Because it's ok f

Thanks for the help but I still dont understand why I can download the patch after giving my cd key downloading and then installing to my other computer with no problems and then having to be connected to the internet for the beta? I've done this with over a 100 games in my collection with no problem.Only once did I go through something like this but that was a full game that was purchased online.
Another guy just gave me a link to how to solve this. What a joke! After spending 40 bucks on this game I'm already feeling like a crook having to go through this song and dance to get a update. It even makes Starforce seem like a minor annoyance compared to this. But hey, you got my money Stardock thats all that matters right?
There is some comfusion here. I had the game working fine with the latest bonus pack. Then installed the beta and started the game again, Got a window with stardock logo asking for the cd key AND E-mail to register the game with Stardock. Because I"m not connected to the internet on that machine it aborted and the game not longer would start unless I reinstalled the game without the beta. I know its unsupported but still very sloppy work.
I had a similar problem with my account. and got no reponse from Stardock. Sadly I can't offer any advice. When a company doesn't care about it's customers it's a wonder how they stay in business.
E-mailed Stardock because I could not run the game after installing the beta.it wanted to connect to the internet to "register" my game.Bought the store version of it and the gaming computer is not connected to the internet so had to do a reinstall. The install program said you needed the cd key and said nothing about having to be connected to the internet. Stardock did not bother to respond.Where is all this great support I keep hearing about?
Ran the game after installing the beta. Then typed the cd key but unless I can connect to Stardock on the internet the game won't run.The computer that I use the game is not connected to the internet. So am I out of luck
