HAPPY B-DAY, FROGBOY! [e digicons]:D[/e]

I would like to add my voice to those who've mentioned improving the terror stars, more diverse planet types, and most especially tactical ground invasions. awesome game.
Kudos to Frogboy, David, Carielf and the rest of the Stardock Team for all the hard work, patience, and efforts you put into your games. Thanks again [e digicons][/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons][/e]
Hi, I had the same problem. Installing updated via Impulse broke the game and both addons. However, I uninstalled and then reinstalled with Impulse. It downloaded the most recent versions and no updates were needed. All three games seem to work perfectly now. AND it fixed the String Not Found error I was having with TOA. Hope this helps somebody. please fix the STRING NOT FOUND error [e digicons][/e]
Hope they fix the STRING NOT FOUND error in TOA [e digicons]XD[/e]
Please fix the String Not Found error. thanks
I liked the old one better too. I know others have said it before, but it would be wonderful to be able to control a ground battle for the invasion. GC3 maybe?
maybe you should just learn to control your mouth (and fingers). it's a skill you'll find helpful later in life.
Hi! Great expansion but still needs some work. Stardock hasn't let us down so far so I'm feeling they'll come through. One thing: I've had the turn button grey out twice, so I can't continue the game without saving and restarting. Thing Two: This one's a matter of taste, I guess. But for me I think the old planetary battle screen with its two opposing armies was much more expressive and exciting than the new one. I just liked it better now that I've seen both. <br/
All hail Magus! I too suffered the debilitating humiliation and painful sores of String Not Found. I too reinstalled all the way through the basic game and it didn't change a thing. Magus brought be instant and tingly relief from the swelling and itching of String Not Found. Thank you Magus!
Here's my debugg.err file as well. I too did a completely clean install from SDC after deleting the whole game and all files. As I've said the same String Not Found errors are still unchanged. Thanks again, peoples for all your efforts and for such a great game! Debug Message: Version v1.91 Twilight of the Arnor last updated on: Thu May 1 12:15:51 2008 Debug Message: Checking DX Version. I too uninstalled GC2 and all the files related in mygames and progrm files. I then reinstalled the game in entirety and found the exact same string not found errors. I'm running Vista and had no problems with String Not Found on my XP machine That would be two uninstalls of TOA and 1 uninstall of GC2, DA, and TOA. I'm feeling pretty lucky that I have an XP machine that runs GC2 well, although about two hours into a game the turn button greyed out and wouldn't come back. I did get a sav
Thanks bsaksida, frogboy, and all the others who've looked at the String Not Found issue. I took bsaksida's advice. In fact, I took it to the max. I completely uninstalled all of Galciv2, then deleted all the appropriate folders. I then reinstalled the game completely (took almost all day and my download speed). Having done that, I still got the same String Not Found errors in the exact same places -- focus button and everything in the focus panel, and the same string not found errors o
I got the String Not Found Error in the options screen and anything related to the Focus button. I installed from Stardock but before installing I did uninstall the beta, delete folders from My Games and also from the Program Files. I've done it twice now and the exact same errors occurred. I reinstalled on my XP machine and the game plays perfectly. I'm not saying it's not an installation error but not sure what I can do at this point. Again thanks for a great game and all yo
Great Game! Hope to be delivered from the String Not Found errors. :)
Hi, I've just finished updating Galciv2, deleting the TA beta, removing its folders and installing the 1.9 release ON MY XP COMPUTER. It works fine there with no String not Found errors appearing in any of the menus. This is my office machine so I'd rather play on my Vista computer which has more power. I thought I'd pass the XP success in the hopes that some solution can be found. Again, thanks for a great game!
Hi Frogboy, Thanks again for such a speedy response. So far as I know, I'm running US on Vista Home. Updated my graphics card last week, dual core amd, 4gigs ram, 500 gig hd. I've played several of the betas but don't recall having seen this error until the last beta. As I said, I uninstalled the beta before installing the 1.9 version. I'm trying the campaign now and the string not found is still there with regards to the ship yard. Game itself seems to be running great!<br/
Hi Frogboy, Thank you so much for your quick response! I installed via Stardock, the 1.9 file. Since posting, I've uninstalled ToA twice. I've deleted the TOA files from both My Documents and Program files. I've redowloaded the new file twice and it's still the same. String Not Found appears in the game setup, the options while in games, and while in the ship construction screens. I've unclicked it, but I'm not sure that's doing anything. If there's any information or files I c
Me again. String not found also found in the options menu beneath the mod box and change button. HOpe this helps.
I forgot to mention that I did uninstall the betas and updated GC2 prior to the installation. The original and expansion pack both played fine. :)
Hi, I've downloaded the official realease of TOA, after, of course, uninstalling the beta, yet I found the same bug in the new game. When I go to the shipyard, the button next to "New" has "String not found" printed over it. Clicking on that button seems to reveal a set of sliders for adjusting ship design and components, I guess. However all these say String Not Found as well. Hope you can shed some light on this. In the beta I couldn't set these sliders and upgrade my
Armageddon Empires has some great strategic capabilities. It doesn't cost much, there's a demo, and it's an indie game. I wish they'd get together with Stardock. System requirements are also very, very low. Here's a link from a satisfied buyer (me). http://www.crypticcomet.com/games/AE/armageddon_empires.html
Yay Brad! Yay Stardock! Yay Patches! Yay Coke! ;)
