Thanks for the reply Neil. Big issue with Bootskin. It put my Win7 into a reboot loop that I couldn't evne get out of with safeboot. I had to boot from the DVD, then using the console go in with BCDEDIT and diable the graphic boot. Interstingly enough the standard QUIETBOOT setting did not work. I had to use: bcdedit /set {default} GRAPHICSMODEDISABLED TRUE switch instead. Then I could get into Win7 and use Bootskin the restorte the default and everything was alright.<

Not so much as far as I can see. I just did an inplace upgrade of Windows 7 over my Vista x64. I had to completely disable Windowblinds otherwise no programs would open. Now before you go assailing me with "its beta' I know that. I've been beta testing applications on Windows since 3.0 shipped so I understand. I'm not asking for help I'm trying to inform. So far I have found that Bootskin Vista nad LogonStudio don't work either. I haven't yet isolated if the newer UAC has something to

Windows ME was made and released because MS had to fill time and space until there were enough device drivers available for the Win2K kernel. MS does not write the device drivers the hardware vendors do, even for the ones that ship with the Windows disks. So when vendors don't want to under take the efforts to write drivers for a newer Windows kernel MS id forced to create some sort of interim version until such time as drivers catch up with the technology. That is in part the case wi

KITTY, Kitty, Kitty!!!!! I was just thinking before seeing this post that it just wasn't going to be a valid Halloween without some new eye candy from our resident queen of gothic visuals; our Anne Rice of skinning. Welcome back, and please take to heart how glad so many of us are to see you. PUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRfect time for your return.

Most Amerians seem to have forgotten there is any line between opinion and fact. Heck I know people that think Limbaugh is a reporter, instead of a wacko windbag making obscene amounts of money spewing hate whenever he can. Give me a break, the average American has a two digit IQ and hates anyone that can spell Intellectual. When did it become a sin in america to be smart and liberal? Why is quasi-conservative neo-fascism thought to be a positive value? And most import

I find Palin immensely offensive regardless of what she is wearing. If that vacuous waste of estrogen gets elected we deserve what we'll get. The first hubby trying to find a corner in the oval office to piss in.

I don't know how I have missed your work in the past but your talent is amazing. You, my friend, have a long and great career in graphic Arts if you want it. I'm astounded by the pure quality of your submissions so far. Do you have any plans for a Windowblind soon? I love the Rainy you're working on. And the rough draft of the "Frogboy" is also very cute. Bravo, keep it up!

I think Diskeeper is a great package, but a couple of years ago I switched to O&O defrag, primarily because they supported Vista sonner and it is every bit as good or maybe even better. If you want to pay either is a good choice. There are some good free ones out there as well, but after a lot of testing they don't quite do as thurough as job in general. Or they have fewer customizable scheduling features sometimes.

Kris handled my very first support problem about 9 and a half years ago. My tenth anniversary as a custoemr is in January of February I think. That'll tell you have satisfied I was with the support experience. I've had four of five in that time and I think only two weree for non-beta products. That's one darn fine track record! Congrats Kris.

If your BIOS does not support GPT then you shouldn't select that. In fact most BIOSes don't support it, except for MAC and some high end servers and workstations. I suspect you need to do MBR instead.

I let Impulde update My Colors tonight, 4/4. and it seems to have broken Windowblinds. MY Colors prompted to reboot and I clicked yes. After that Widnow blinds would not load, thugh I could roll back to Aero withouta problem. I romve My Colors and still no luck so then I removed WQindowsblinds and reboots. Then reinstalled WB. And still it no longer applies any skins. Just grey old Windows. Anyone else see this? What gives?

If you have a page file Windows will use regradless of how much RAM you have. In addition apps like Photoshop automatically use it regardless of real RAM. Photoshop uses it for everything from brushes data, to undo information, again even if you have loads of free RAM. Another trick I use is to set pagefiles on multiple drives. I find it works quite well at least in Vista. In general put the page file on your fastest drive, even if it is the C: drive. If all drives are the same speed, (

Installed flawlessly. Picked up my account info automatically. Self-updated and restarted just fine. I like the splash screen telling the user it is updating and applying the upadtes. On the updates page I find this one disconcerting issue. WB on my machine is a higher revision than on the upadtes and yet Impulse sees mine existing as older for some reason. Installed beta: 6.09f.[b].130 Available beta: 6.09d[b].124 I think I'll not install for now, huh? A
