If it's any help, I've actually bought an alien freighter to see what happen. Turns out the freighter will adopt your closest system as its home world. So, it's safe to assume the same thing would happen if you sell a freighter to an alien.
As I was pumelling the Yor Collective into goo, the "Yor have found Precursor Corvettes" event occured. They got 100 corvettes! :SURPRISED: In one neat stack! Right in front of one of my battleships. And apparently, 100 wasn't enough... ;)
Let's not forget Fundamentalists, the bane of evil players. Do minors each have different behaviors? I've noticed that Carinoids seem to build up their planets like crazy, while the Alexians like to expand as much as possible in their own sector for instance.
I've been trying to play at crippling first, so I can get away with selling techs to minors for a cash boost. I was just curious if I was missing some key tactic for getting my economy grow.
As an aspiring masosistic level player, there's one issue I still haven't really figured out. That damned economy graph. It seems the economy of all the AIs shots up like an arrow while mine is like the lifeline of a 3 year corpse. Mind you, I've figured out pop growth.
