SMAC has about the very best storyline for a turn-based game, too, huh? Of course, it would be interesting to play a mod that let you control a nation or faction on the doomed Earth before Unity launched, too, eh? he he he
Mr Yeah
How much has other games influenced GalCiv? The research tree is very similar to Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, and the race evilness scale is from D&D. Not to scream plaigarism or anything like that (genius deserves to be copied!), but how much from the game has been lifted or inspired by Master of Orion or Starships Unlimited? Also, though they are pretty much different kinds of games, what do you guys think of STUN (Starships Unlimited) as compared to Galactic Civilizations?
Thanks... will flavor text on them ever be published or listed somewhere?

Yeah, I've checked that already. Thanks, anyway, though. The thing I'm really wondering about is the minor races.
Ok, but can anyone give me a list of minor races and the info about them? Also, what are the space monsters and do they have anything to do with the precursor?
I'm thinking about writing a GalCiv fanfiction sometime after I buy the full version of the game. Can someone tell me about the different minor races in it? Will there be new info in the Encyclopedia about them? Also, what exactly are space monsters? Huge, super-evolved alien species or the Precursors' pets?
Will the Encyclopedia ever have more profiles on more races, including the minor ones?
