I purchased GC online and downloaded the 85 MB file and the Bonus Pack. When I start playing a game, after a few turns, I would click on the 'TURN' button and it would change to having a small circle (AI moving?) and never change back to 'TURN' again. I assume I am stuck in the AI's part of the turn. I used ALT-TAB so I could use the Stardock chat and accidently started a second GC game when I was done. This game worked fine. So, it appears this problem goes away if I start two games and
