Would be nice to be able to find and salvage an abandoned stargate, get a few bc for the resources.
Evil Furby
I'm also interested in Linux support. I use Synergy but there is room for improvement for this type of application.
Very nice, a vast improvement.
What kind of Keyboard do you have? If its one of the fancy multimedia types where you can customise the extra buttons it could be the driver thats at fault. An updated driver (if available) my be worth a shot.
What about some kind of ambush event to have vessels captured around a "reaver" like planet.
If you assume that at the end of a units turn (out of movement points) that is has to drop out of hyperspace before beginning a jump on the next turn, then nebula can be taken into account. If you passthrough a nebula over the course of one turn you are not effected. If you end a turn in it your ship takes any damage/has limited sensor range etc and will continue to do so each turn until the nebula is exited.
What screen resolution are you running? Have you tried disabling some of the advanced gfx options?
I got the game yesterday and played with 1.0X on a 6600GT, I was experiencing the same but the game ran problem free (apart from having to use the hardware cursor).
I read it after playing for 14 hours straight and discovered a few things I had missed.
Sounds like it could be a power supply issue. I had a failing psu and when the system was booting up all the drives it would crash at the same point. My guess is that when your systemis heats up your fans draw more current (along with whatever the gfx card draws) and might be tripping the PSU reset.
I think you have answered your own question there. If you want to run graphics settings at a higher level a better card is the solution you are looking for.
I am also getting the error
I was very pleased to have my copy of GC2 pop through the letter box at 9:30 am. It was only posted at 4:30pm yesterday and I had kinda given up hope of seeing it before monday. The link below will allow you to convert your collectors edition number to a serial number. Link
Link If you have the Paradox European version use the above link to convert your GC2- collectors code to a serial number.
Attila44, you sound like you run a very optimised gaming system with the minimum ammount of background services running. When gaming are you shutting down your firewall and antivirus software? If you are then I suspect an unsecured system might be causing you more spyware problems and a bigger performance hit than a small quick starter application sitting in memory.
What is the airflow like in your case? The gfx card will be heating up but you might not be getting rid of the warmer air fast enough and not drawing in enough cool air. What power supply do you have? It could be that the graphics card is trying to draw extra power the power supply cant provide which is upsetting everything else. If your case hasnt been opened in a while have a look and see if its dusty inside. If it is, power it down and use some co
Why didn't I order from play.com
The price of GC2 on Amazon.co.uk has dropped to the same price as that of play.com. Whilst this is good news my order is still waiting for dispatch and shows the older price. I have tried to contact Amazon to see which price they will charge me, no reply yet. I advise anybody else who has an order with Amazon to check what they charge you.
