I beg to differ. In years past, and I have been doing PC games for 20+ years now. You could buy a game, take it home and play it for months without needing a patch. It's a disturbing trend that not only plagues elemental but many of the more recent games that they get shoved out the door without being complete and need immediate patches. Thank the internet I suppose.
I guess that is true. I remember buying the

If you aren't willing to deal with release bugs don't buy the game right when it comes out. PC gaming has ALWAYS been this way. Where have you been? Personally I am waiting to purchase until I see that all the performance and ctd bugs are fixed.

Friend and I have just done a complete re-install of Sins thru Stardock Central. We wiped out the Iron Clad dir under Documents and Settings/Application data and we still get these errors when trying to restore a Saved game: Failed to find file '' in either primary path or secondary path. subDir(Galaxy) Failed to Open File: '..\..\DataSource\Galaxy\'

I am 7 turns into the game and starting in a corner. I have only met the Korx and on the mini-map on bottom right I can already see spheres of ownership/influence of all the races in the game. Shouldn't I only be able to see the Korx?

Ok I think I have found a significant bug/hack. I found that if you move a fleet (havent tried with single ship) then save the game, then quit galciv2, then start galciv2 backup, then reload the saved game you can move your fleets again! Without taking a turn. Enables neat hit and run tactics but please take it out as I feel bad using it.

Multiplayer adds longevity to a games life. When I first get a turn based game I spend the first month or 2 playing single player and learning the game. By then I have gotten a few friends interested in the game and we like to play it online. Civ 4 is still relatively new. You will see as the game ages that those still playing will start shifiting to multiplayer. I also think having multiplayer tends to allow a game to form a more cohesive long te

Through Stardock central I installed .90[b].012 about an hour ago. I just restarted Stardock and I am being 'updated' to 0.81.006. I installed that and now I am being updated back to 0.90[b].012. Anyway just thought I'd report this weirdness. Game looks great. Keep up the good work.

optional tactical combat is a mistake as well. Alot of the fun of MOO2 was building ridiculous ships to see if they would work in tactical combat. Anyway I'll play GalCiv2 no matter what, but what I really want is MOO 2.5.
