Following up on this game: I finaly arranged the alliance with the Alterians. The key was declaring war on the Arceans (who were Alteran's old enemy - the Alterans and Arceans had previously fought out a long war, and were currently at peace). After my attack it wasn't long before the Alterans went to Close, then accepted the Alliance, and declared war on the Arceans in support. Currently playing a large map, as Drath Legion, worked up to good alignment - have eliminated my imediate neighbours and the top four are Arceans, Torians, me and the Alterians. I would like to create an alliance with the Alterans and crush one or both of the others. I have friendly relations with them, and I have the Alliances tech. I am Good, they are leaning to good. I have been sending them gifts of 100-200 every couple of turns, plus occasiona
