I actually got them from laptopvideo2go.com (I have a Geforce 7300 GO in my laptop). Installed them but sadly still the same crash with the same error. Seems like we have to wait until the next release.

100.65 is out now! Is this the one already? Downloading...
At this point I don't think Stardock should (or will) add more new features. I think it's only reasonable to have the bugs shaved out and streamline the game further. Looking at it like that I have the following suggestions. 1. The continuing quest for the ultimate AI. I'm sure Brad will continue with this. For me this is just the most important thing to improve the game further. Keeping it challenging and fun. Great suggestions have been made in the 'How's the AI' thread, so I won't ad
Very nice and helpful read Jpinard. Thanks a lot!
Apolyton's Solver has written a great review of Dark Avatar. He concludes with giving DA a very solid 9.2. "In the end, I give Dark Avatar a score of 9.2 out of 10 for delivering much more than most expansion packs do. Dark Avatar’s positives truly more than make up for the negatives, and it’s a must-have for everyone who played GalCiv2 and at least somewhat enjoyed it." The review touches all of the new aspects that DA brought to GalCiv 2. And clearly Solver had been playing q
I concluded yesterday that it's the backflipping error for me too. Oh well, I'll play on my desktop which has xp then. As soon as the issue has been fixed I'll switch to playing on my laptop.
Same problem here, also Vista (home premium). I'll send in my save, debug and description as soon as I get home. After pressing the turn button it disappears and a little while later GalCiv hangs. Vista tries to repair it (which of course doesn't work) and I'm back on my desktop. Happens after loading a quicksave.
Great read so far, keep it up! I really like the way you roleplay the game.
Civ IV has a great feature for that. You can ask your trading partner 'what would make the deal work' and then he comes up with a counterproposal. Sure you can still do some fiddling, but it's much less micro intensive.
Congratulations on the new Froggirl Brad! Looks like despite all the hard work you amazingly still find some time to make babies.
Voted Torians. They just look like they're too stupid to surviver. Kinda like how the Dodo became extinct.
Great stuff, can't wait for the download to appear! My goodness, that is SOME list we have here ladies and gentlemen! Keep up the good work Stardockians. You're doing a terrific job on improving an already great game.
I don't care much about multiplayer too for TBS games. I DO however really like to play Age of Wonders PBEM games. And I really enjoy playing Civ IV succession and PBEM games. Come to think of it, I think GalCiv succesion games would work really well too. So if one day PBEM could be added to Galciv I'd be a very happy person. But that's about the only multiplayer I would play. I wouldn't play onlinegames, simply because they take waaaay too
Great steal!
Never mind, double post because of the slow forum giving me timeouts.
So people. What will be the settings for your first game? Me being a GalCiv veteran, but never a brilliant one, I'm gonna start my first game on normal difficulty. I expect to lose that game. Race: Korx (using their standard bonuses) Galaxy size: medium Opponents: 4 (Drengin, Altarians, Torians, Yor) Habitable planets: common Clusters: tight Difficulty: normal
Very entertaining read. And good marks too, though he is talking crap about the zooming when the renders are replaced by icons. This is one of the great new features, yet he doesn't see it. Thanks for the link.
Very interesting read. I wonder if you'll ever get to zero. If that ever happens we'll sure have a very scary AI to deal with.
Ever since GalCiv I for Windows was about to be released. I think it was somewhere around March 2003.
Also, the AI has definitely gotten better, my most recent game (the almost-gold release) is the first time I've ever felt the need to start building a defensive fleet out of anything larger than small hulls. On what level are you playing Popup? Just curious to see more reports about the current AI.
I remember the days right before GalCiv I came out. I heard from the game after I tried the failure that was MoO3. When I found the link to the site I discovered some gamereports done by Brad. They immediately sold the game to me! It was a blast to read them. Therefore my question. As soon as you Stardock guys don't make 25 hours a day anymore could you please post some of these game examples again?
Well, it's been discussed quite a few times already. While I agree that a multiplayer option would have been great, Brad Wardell, has clearly stated that the devteam wanted to give full focus to the singleplayer part. And I'm positive they won't disappoint us. If they would have done multiplayer it would have cost us quite a bit of features that are now in the game. For singleplayer to work you need good AI and I'm very sure the GCII AI WILL be very good. Already the GCI AI give me a
It's the total amount of influence, not specifically related to a planet. It will influence your cultural borders if you sell too many influencepoints. Influencepoints also affect your number of votes in the United Planets. So basically you sell 'influence' for the United Planets meetings. Meaning that if you trade 200 points to the Torians they'll have 200 extra votes in the upcoming UP meeting, while you have 200 votes less. That could be a crucial difference. Hope that c
A bunch of new screens just appeared on game-over.net. Once again some very nice screens. The game is looking better every time new screenshots come out. If only beta 4 was here already. Oh well, we'll just wait here patiently as ever.
Other post got lost or something. In the mainscreen I cannot scroll left or up by moving the cursor to the edge of the screen. Right and down DO work.
