Last night, I started a game. And for some added flavoring, I changed my Terran Alliance to the following: Name: Terran Hegemony Leader: Council of Seele (SOUND ONLY, props if you get the reference) Homeworld: Terra So I play the game for a while, and the Korath are EVERYwhere. I'm not sure what happened, but they were lightyears ahead of everyone else from the beginning. Just completely kicked everyone's ass. But that's not the point of the story. After

Personally, I'd like to see a League of Non-Aligned Worlds (direct B5 reference) able to vote in the United Planets. They should get a vote, if you ask me.
I noted the the same thing with your overall experience. As power-level goes, they certainly don't seem to be on par with the Altarians, who I found to have he strongest set of abilities so far.
Why not simply have a Option that allows: Minor Races: 0 - No Colonization 1 - System Only Colonoization 2 - Unlimited Colonization Also, they need to "turn on" spying on Minor Races. When you get the Jagged Knife event, or even a powerful Minor, you should be able to spy on them. RE: The Thalans I really hope these guys are getting some new stuff, because they are missing: 1. Missing Morale technology branch 2. No access to "battle s
Sorry, I posted this in the wrong place. So here we go again. First up, a bug report: I was playing as the Altarians the other day in an immense galaxy. I got the report that the Dominion of Korx had just completed the Beyond Enlightenment technology, and they were about to win the game. Now, being in the endgame, with the largest population, highest overall tech level, and largest economy, I cranked up my massive empire of 87 colonies into technology mode. This lead
All, I've got a few suggestions for you. I'm not sure if they have been suggested before, forgive me for not having read the entire forum. Phaedyme: a lot of RAM manufactures (like Kingston and Micron) have a lifetime warranty. If you do in fact have faulty RAM for whatever reason, you may very well be able to get a new stick out of them. I got a couple of new sticks from Kingston when my dying mobo took the RAM with it. Long story, it was bad. ^^ Granted, this assumes that the RAM was handled and installed properly. From your comments, you seem plenty competent, so I'm sure this isn't an issue for you. So
I still say this is a bug that has to do with 'awareness' of the other races in the game. I play with blind exploration turned on. And if I haven't met someone, how can they declare war on me if they don't even know who I am? Booo.
This bug actually introduced some interesting things into the game I'm playing. The Jagged Knife broke off, and had all this cool stuff. They took 51 planets (10 of which were mine) and everyone immediately declared war on them. I took back 9 planets (the Korath managed to hijack a planet near their space). The funny thing was I immediately started stealing endgame techs. Black Hole Erupters, Ultimate Invulnerability Fields, Zero-Point Armor, and Aeleron Missile Defense. It was kin
I've noticed this bug as well. I run on Windows XP 64 bit edition, and it's never hard crashed my box. But it does get annoying. I'll running around with my Archangel Class Battleship, and I try nuke a nearby Arcean fleet. Game doesn't feeze, but seems to hang. The menu system works, the scrolling sytem works, but the End Turn button is gone. The only way I've found to fix this error is to actually quit the game, reload the game fresh, and load up the game again. Oddly enough it'll usuall
BEGIN THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT! Seriously, though. Some sort of fusion accelerator is what makes the most sense. We're talking about about the ability to increase the heat of the stellar core so hot that it ignites a runaway carbon fusion reaction. This, Fusion Acceleration Beam or something like that would be more accurate. Stellar Exterminator sounds pretty awesome, though. :)
I don't appreciate how this massively unbalances the game. I had this happen where the LentzLandians or whatever got all this cool stuff somewhere. I traded them a bunch of crap for it, but it was so cheap, I started a new game, because there was then no challenge to it. Hopefully these events or whatever will be tweaked. You know what would be really awesome is a checkbox list of all of the different events, so you could turn off each different kind. :)
Huh. Thanks! I never knew that there even was such a thing.
All, I'm not sure if this has been posted or not. I wasn't able to find it, so I might be unique. In any case, here goes. Bug#1: any of the rotating graphics in the game rotate so fast it causes the engine to screw up. I'm talking about planets in the planet screen, ships in the shipyard screen, etc. Bug#2: Whenever I move my mouse to the edge of the screen, the main view window goes somewhere off the screen or something. The only way to fix this is to cl
