Hmm...how about adding an option to that "how did you hear about GalCiv" poll to the left on the page? I mean, why not? It would surely be interesting to see if anyone votes "Saw it on a FTP" or something. This is not a joke but a serious suggestion.

This "tech" could be both evil and good: Missionaries. Develope the tech "Preacher" and send "Missionaries" to enemy planets luring enemy citizens into believing that you are good. Religious groups could form and either end up in a mass suicide or that they emigrate to your planet. Hmm...drugs and religion would definately add a new dimension to the game LOL
