JayG, I was trying to make peace with Drengin, they rejected,I offered them all my money and all my techs,again "no". Finally I got mad and offered them everything, got rejected and then I quit the game, I was being murdered anyway :)

TheHamster, I think 80 turns looks reasonable time for the AIs to set up their basic structures, they have to do it without paying too much attention to you,because there are more than 2 empires in the game. I bet if it were only 2 empires , you'd get killed much earlier (is it possible to check BTW?) .

Off topic, but voices in Alpha Centauri are not french, at least Zakharov's voice belongs to a russian, and Chairman Sheng-Ji to a chinese. I thought it was great, the whole design in SMAC is amazing
