Foreground Transparency in WindowFX Stardock Forums

Hi, Can you also make it such that we can set foreground window transparency? I'd love to be able to write my papers while reading references in the background. Thanks!

I needed an answer for this as well, but I found out how to do it myself: Basically, your user account picture for Start8 is stored as a User.bmp in the "c:\Users\Ray\AppData\Local\Temp' folder, no matter even if you have changed the TMP or TEMP values in your user environment variables. So, if you have accidentally erased this by a cleaning program, Start8 will not regenerate it for you. But you can manually do it yourself. Here are the steps: <

Hi, I didn't know where to post this, since there is no forum dedicated to ShadowFX, so I posted this here. Just a few days ago, I used windows update and: 1. Initially had problems updating KB3000850 2. Was advised to i) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and ii) sfc /scannow 3. Afterwhich, KB3000850 was able to install to completion 4. Then after rebooting, I found that ShadowFX wasn't working any more. T

Thanks! Actually, I'd prefer if WindowFX could achieve this alone, because I don't really like to skin my entire UI. Reason is coz I use mostly my notebook and too many UI customizations slow my system considerably. What I really find useful about WindowFX is that it gives me the ability to see all my back window contents. So when I am writing something, I can view all my references behind. I also like it if I am able to have shadowing, since it adds depth to what I am

Hi there! I love all my windows to be semi-transparent when starting up, and I constantly have to set the transparency for each and every window that starts up, which slow me down. In Actual Transparent Windows, they allow you to do this, but my loyalty's with Stardock. Therefore, I was wondering if you could add this feature to startup with a certain transparency already set. Then, I can go ahead and make them more or less transparent if I wish? Thanks [e di
