They have been on vacation, so my guess is no there isn't a new version of the beta yet. Also I would imagine you have impulse installed since you used that to install the beta, which means of a newer version gets released it will be there.

There aren't categories like the Dell Dock. They are two types of docks for OD, one is the zoomer dock (similar to mac dock, rocket dock etc) the other is a tabbed dock. I don't know if they are planning to include categories like they did with the Dell Dock or not. I am sure Jafo will pipe in with an answer though. ;)

This is nothing to do with ObjectDock, it's related to windows and it's how PE categorizes processes. I can replicate this by issuing a simple shellexec() to any process I want to start and PE will show it as launching from my parent application. In other words this is intentional. However in PE you can turn off the tree view and just sort by column header if you prefer.

Impulse is not just about piracy. It's about convenience. It works in a similar fashion to Valve's Steam (for games). It allows you to store and manage all of your Stardock Applications. It is not adware or spyware.
