All in the title. Ever since Fences 4 was released, I patiently awaited a fix, getting subsequent upgrades one after the other. Now, in Fences 6, auto-icon-spacing on the desktop is still messed up, i.e., doesn't automatically adapt to icon size -- something that Fences 3 used to do in a perfect way. The truth is, you Stardock guys don't give a ____ . I used to love your products but I have seen how you couldn't care less, and how you just seek more and more money. I therefore choose to give
Funnily enough... all icons inside the fences are looking like they should, its only the ones outside that are jumbled like that! None of the things they tried worked for me, sadly. Also, I'm on 125% (on a 4K display) on the desktop... putting it back to 100% and restarting actually makes it WORSE, things are way closer once scaled up!
Same for me: no issues within fences, only the desktop icons are affec

You're welcome. Indeed, everybody should know that not everyone has time for this. With all the money they are now asking with this subscription scam, I think they can afford some decent beta-testing. Moderator note: The Fences subscription is $9.99 a year. With it, any current subscription will get updates and any major version 'upgrades' (Fences 5 -> 6 -> etc) for as long as the subscription is current.

Windows 11 -- Desktop Icon spacing no longer adjusts to icon size, making it is extremely small or even negative with very big icons. It reverts back when uninstalling Fences.

Windows 10 21H1 - Ok I remember having reported this issue many years ago and it's still not fixed. This is extremely simple : when you create a new folder inside a folder portal, after 2 seconds it will automatically move to the location that the auto-arrange feature wants it to occupy. However, if you are naming your folder when this auto-move occurs, the name of the folder will be reset to "new folder" and what you started typing will have been ignored. This is quite irrita

Guys, we need to know whether Fences 4 is coming any time soon. I'm considering buying Object Desktop, but I first need that information. Thanks.
The Portal Fence is already on the desktop so, it can't just copy into itself.
This is actually not true. In Windows you CAN copy an icon from Desktop to Desktop (or, more generally, internally to any folder). Problem only occurs with copying from a Fence to another place on the Desktop (including another Fence), or from the Desktop to a Fence, or when trying internal copy inside a Fence. But you are perfectly right

Hi, thanks for your answer. It is this way for any folder in any directory. It's a fresh new Windows 10 install and I noticed it even before. Right-Click drag&drop only offers "move here" and "create shortcut here". The problem occurs only with the desktop, I can copy to anywhere else. So it's only drag&drop, static right-click context menu "copy" entry is fine, sorry for the confusion in my 1st post.

If you create a new folder in a fence/portal then it will automatically move to its right place after 1 to 3 seconds. But if you try to rename it during this 1-3 seconds intervalle, then the name will reset to "New Folder" when the folder moves. It's annoying since you have to start again the renaming.
