Many thanks Gaunathor, I realised that this was in reaction to my megalomania but wasn't sure whether it was permanent or if I could have done something - presumably spent lots of gold - at the time. Well yes I will disable megaevents next time. It doesn't seem to me that this one - or I see there can be hordes of space pirates too(?) greatly improve things. I find randomness in games pretty irritating, at least to this extent. Cheers, Jon<

Hi, I guess this is right place to post if not apologies. I'm new to this excellent game and after a couple of tries was grinding happily through an influence victory (at Normal) when I got a random event and went from 77% of the board to about 3% in a few turns. Is this a bug or a feature and if the latter can the event be disabled? Thanks, Jon </p
