Having problems with the fences update too, on Windows 7 64bit. Shortcuts won't move into fences, items in folders don't do anything when double clicked...

I don't quite get how these forums work. Shouldn't this stay under 'Fences'? Otherwise it'll get lost amongst all the posts from all the other software here. I would have thought this Forum was for support issues that are to do with Stardock software in general, but my post is specific to Fences.

wcndave: See my new thread under "Icons disappear when dragged out of fences onto desktop." What seems to be happening is that the icons are actually going onto the desktop, but they will only show up when there is a fence on top of them. So they seem to disappear when you drag them out of a fence, but they are actually there. And even if they are showing up if a fence is on them, they aren't actually *in* the fence, they are still on the desktop.

Windows 7 (fairly new machine), using trial version of Fences. No other Stardock software installed. As per the "Epic Fail" thread, icons aren't working properly in fences. If I drag one out to sit on the desktop, sometimes it 'disappears'. I can see it if I make the fences box bigger, and it appears within the box. From then onwards I can move icons wherever I want in the fence. It's like it's not in the fence, but shows up if I put it where the fence is,
