I cant imagine that Stardock would want to mess Gal Civs up by making the 3rd one real time. That would be a colossal blunder. Gal Civs is so awesome BECAUSE it is turn based. There are plenty of other real time space games out there if thats your thing. I personally hope they just make Gal Civs 3 a bigger & badder version of 2, but keep the mechanics the same. It should be turn based, & I for one hope they again focus on single player.

I dont really understand this whole aversion to Steam. It should be obvious by now that most new games that come out are gonna require Steam. Get on board now or get left behind.....
I hate when people try to compare RTS games to TBS games. In my mind there is no comparison. Totally different styles of gameplay. Might as well be comparing FPS to TBS..... StarDrive & Sins of a Solar Empire & games like that simply cant be compared to GCII in my mind......
You sound exactly like how I felt a couple weeks ago ColdHands. I bought the Ultimate Edition on Steam for $5 & then was totally confused about how to play. I have always enjoyed Sid Meier's Civilization franchise games, & Alpha Centauri, but I have never played MOO or any of the space civ games like that, so it took me a while to learn Gal Civs II. Hi guys, I'm a brand new Gal Civs 2 player (just bought the Ultimate Edition on Steam a few days ago), but Ive played the Civilization series of games since Civ II, so Im not new to TBS games. I can honestly say I have NEVER played a multiplayer game of any TBS game, nor would I want to. I dont have the time or patience for it. I need to be able to save the game & turn it off anytime. I wholeheartedly support the fact that Gal Civs 2 is single player only, & applau
