So, I played what might have been the most ridiculous game in a long time. Decided to try out the Iconians (random note, love their tech tree, will likely use it for a custom race at some point), so I played a custom game with them. Immense map, uncommon stars, common habitable planets, tight clusters, etc. Had five AIs with me, who turned out to be the Drath, the Altarians, the Arceans, the Drengin, and the Yor. Game is progressing well, I quickly figure out how to stabilize my economy with

Well, sorry about the disappearing act people, my net got shut off for a while there. This game was resolved, Yor victory (allied with the Drengin and the Arcean), long, rather nasty war with the Torians, and the Korx wiped out soon after the Altarians. I might get around to writing it all up, but there is about 3 decades worth of updates there. =P

Well, the first solution is to trade for economic buildings from another race, but I prefer not to do this. I am playing the Yor right now as well, and have found that their economy is actually quite efficient once it gets going. 1. Building all of your 1pp structures on each planet, along with a stalk. This will have each planet generating research, as well as boosting population and moral. 2. Work your way down the Efficiency tech tree, and

.... and my internet just burped and deleted everything I wrote for the update on the AAR. I hate technology sometimes. Will rewrite it tomorrow.

Hmm... alright then, thanks guys. Any idea how to minimize their ability to trade techs and be willing to deal with others, or am I out of luck there as well? =\ Other than setting their techs to untradeable, of course .

I am toying around with the custom race options in TA, and wanting to recreate some of my old ones, but have much more potential thanks to the various editors. I had a random thought though: Is there anyway to make a custom race (for enemy AI purposes) completely non-diplomatic? I am recreating an old enemy race, and would like, if possible, to set them so that they cannot be communicated with. Is there a way to do this, such as editing the files for the race in some wa

And that is it for tonight, hope everyone is enjoying it, I am trying out a style I hope fits a Yor AAR, done in the form of intelligence reports and data communications. I think it works, but I am interested in feedback. Next in the Yor AAR, the militarization of the Collective, and looming war.

I have to say though, that even though I am typically a Korx guy, I have greatly enjoyed the Yor tech tree. I have heard alot of complaints that the Yor economy is broken, but I find them more effective in that department. Just slap down a couple of charging stalks and an efficiency center and recruiting center on each planet as part of your basic build, and it takes care of itself. Most of my planets are producing a surplus of BC at this point, and the best part is I don't have to worry

My computer is basically a piece of crap, so it could have been any number of things. Luckily the previous autosave was from 4 turns before the corrupt save, and worked fine. With any luck, that save will work fine today.

Alright, all is not lost. I went back to an autosave game, which happened to be about 4 turns earlier, so all is well, no issues so far. Played a good bit more, and will write more on the AAR tomorrow. The Yor have gone to war, and they dragged the rest of the Galaxy in with them. [e digicons]XO[/e]

And this one may be dead already. My save game is corrupted or something, it freezes every time I try and load the game. I have tried 4 times now, and every time I have had to restart my computer as a result.

Alright, that is to start off my new Yor AAR, trying to be more RPish with this one. Would do more than this, but frankly I have a headache and want to go lay down. Next time: The expansion of the Yor begins, and the first contacts with organic life!

Processors online... Advanced collective consciousness N-1 active... The Yor are awake... Long-range sensors have detected organic life in the Galaxy, we are not alone. Left unchecked, Organics spread and consume all, and pose a severe threat to the Yor and all cybernetic life. The only logical solution is the eradication of rogue organic life. Analysis of transmissions and scans pertaining to the organic life have yielded f

Thank you, I am glad you like it, I had fun writing it. I am currently playing the Yor, and will likely do an AAR for them as well. And yeah, I get tired of small fighters wiping out whole fleets of transports, or else having to wait for escorts to clear out a minor ship from orbit so I can invade, so I tend to arm my transports when possible. These particular transports had psionic missiles and hardened hull points, and were fairly durable.

Ok then, to continue... ~The War with the Altarians~ The Furies of the Drengin Empire laid siege to the Altaria system, attacking mining bases, miners, colony ships, and planetary defenders, receiving repairs and reinforcements from the forges on Ivy as needed. Meanwhile, transport ships were under construction on Drengi, being launched to Ivy as a staging point to conquer the Altarian's home. Shortly after the siege begins, Wis

Thank you, glad you like it. I am putting spaces between paragraphs, but there should be some images too. Where are you seeing gaps, so I can see if the image is showing?

Alright, so, that game is over as of five minutes ago, and it was resolved with a bang! [e digicons][/e] I will work on getting it summarized tomorrow, and posted for your reading pleasure.

Alright, so, we continue. To try and make it run a little smoother, I will try and go by month, instead of month and day. Might work better then. ~Jan 2228~ We finally see the Altarians begin their expansion, an expansion that will prove to be a thorn in the side of the Drengin Empire in the years to come. As scouting reveals their own sector barren with the exception of the previously discovered extreme planets, and the only habitable planet asid

Ok, so, since I have been playing games using each of the races to get a feel for them in ToA, I figured I would do an AAR with the Drengin. As an RPer I am tempted to do a story-heavy one, but that would take a great deal of time so I will stick to something a little simpler. I hope you enjoy! Some basics... <img

Well, I checked my social production, and it was set at the norm, and my production at the time was set for about 80%, so that wasn't it, and I did not have any of the extreme colonization techs. And it didn't happen when I colonized new planets afterwards, so I am writing it off as a bug, and started the game over. No issues so far.

So, I got ToA a while back, but was unable to play it much due to work. Due to being laid off, I have found more time to play, and have been enjoying the improved features and whatnot. But, while playing around with the Arceans, I had something irritating happen. My economy was trying to crash, so I did not immediately develop my new worlds during the colony rush, and after my empire stabilized I went back to develop them, and each of the worlds I did not immediately develop are onl
