Your using quite an old version of SDC there. Can you try upgrading to the latest version and see if that fixes the problem? You can grab the latest version of SDC from: http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe When you get it installed you should be prompted to upgrade to the latest version.

belugawhale, please try the installation again and see if ithe problem happens again.

The current version of SDC is being updated to handle all the new message boards being created on both gc and wc, and general stardock forums. Hopefully within the next sdc version we should be adding the galciv sections to the new and updated UI. Brian

Please check SDC > Help > About and make sure you have successfully updated sdc itself to build 84. It sounds like wcfiles.dll has been updated but your sdcentral.exe hasnt. Also, make sure you are launching SDC from the correct shortcut on your startmenu and not launching sdcentral.exe directly. Brian
