It kind of sounds like much of the complaint is that the bots always "play to win", and some people want to play in a more RP setting, where at least most of the bots have some kind of desire for peace, rather than being constantly focused on achieving one of the win parameters. Currently, if you're a small country with little army, bots get so mad at you for it that they're willing to commit suicide by sending most of their army across the map at you when they have incoming a
I agree with the OP. Right now the game is all about getting powerful first strikes in. It's not all about the damage though. It's tons of little things that have made it so. Like starting closer, and starting with troops. The new initiative system has also allowed players to super buff damage easily using traits, and we have all this nice new abilities that allows us to cross the map in 1 turn like rush and berserk, or hit multiple
Also Gilden built a city on top of a river and on a tile without food in my game.
I've seen this too, took a city from a bot only to realize it was built on a 0 food 0 material tile.
The downside to that city is you can't specialize it. So no fortress/conclave/town.
Oh, then it's not as amazing as I thought. I would probably use it until I got my own 4 essence fortress, then raze it.

I hate these camps, I always seem to get them somehow, I think it happens when I take a bot's city and my new borders expand over the camp. From then on I have to disband mercenaries every few turns. They cost like 4 gold per season and can't be upgraded or grouped into something useful, so they're basically just an annoyance. They probably stunt the growth of any bot that builds a merc camp too.
WoM did have multiplayer. I played it with my friends. The devs have said they plan on adding multiplayer to LH, but right now their network coders are all on other unannounced projects that absolutely require multiplayer support, so it will have to wait.
Really? That would be amazing. Got a bunch of friends that would have bought this game if it had multiplayer (and one who bought

Or the cost of the spell could be a percentage of your faction's current mana, so it not only does more damage at high mana, but costs more too.
One a tangential but somehow related note, there should also be a war-weariness unrest penalty which increases with the length of a war.
This would be really irritating on huge maps, where the AI bloats its "power score" by building thousands of pioneers and then declares war on you non-stop for being "weak".

Yeah, I really hate it that the bots can just send millions of pioneers everywhere without worrying about them being attacked by the neutrals. It feels like the bots are playing a completely different game than I am. Maybe I'll go put stealth on all of the bot factions to justify it.

Happened after casting command on an allied champion. After casting it, my sovereign got infinite turns, which I used to make her run around slowly beating all of the enemies to death with her staff. It happened to me once, and then after that I tried to reproduce it 3 times and it worked once (for a total of 2/4). It seemed more likely to work if done later in the fight? I'm not sure. Don't have a screenshot or save, as I didn't even know about this forum when it happened

As the title says. I forgot to take a screenshot, but thought to come here and report it anyway. Basically an enemy ruler was parading through my lands, and when I went to attack him, I couldn't because he was standing inside of a "ruffians and monsters" faction enemy. On a similar note, I just did a 40 hour marathon on normal world difficulty, normal AI difficulty, and the monsters/ruffians faction never, ever attacked any of the AI during the entire marathon. In several
