I just wanted to check in and say I've been enjoying this immensely.

Definitely in. My only concern is that the forums here seem a shade quieter than at civfanatics, and so we might not get quite as many players.

*Sigh* Alright. If the good Lord Commander Mekoides could give some final report, that would be splendid. It's sad to think we won't be at the helm to the very end, but... such is life. [e digicons][/e] Well done, fellow councilmen. It has been a wonderful seven months of play for me. <

Well, you're the boss, boss. I'll be sad to see it go. Howzabout when the next post goes up we have a good discussion on intended victory, and then do updates every two quarters?

If I may be so bold as to try and lay a finger on that consensus, it would be: Wrap up the Yor War, and pursue military strength as a deterrent. Don't start anything new. Yet. Also, Alliances.

Lords Councilor, good day. I will press past the condolences at this time, for you, my fellow Lords have covered that well and, as always, time waits for no man. While our position is secure for the moment, that may not last. That we have in fact lost warships is a novelty, and I confess I would prefer it remain a novelty. To that end, I would suggest that our research this quarter consist solely of Alliances and military technologies - specifically, the Part

Permit me to perhaps explain my thoughts: The Survey Ship is totally out of place compared to its contemporaries. There should be an impetus to research for it, rather than just handing one out to everyone - the thing requires Sensors IV and Medium Scale Building to build! To put this in some perspective, I've only played DL for some time now - DA and TA is so far gone that the arguments fly over my head. Don't stop using them, but remember I may not catch al

So let me see if I can sum this Foreign Ministry stuff up: The Torians and Thalans are at war. This is quiet for the Torians are building and... The Thalans and Yor are at war. We'll have our pound of - flesh? circuitry? - regardless. The Drath and Krynn are at war. Slow because the Yor are in the way, but they shortly won't be. The Korx are going after the minors. The Drengin and Iconians

I'll never forgive you if the Torians win Ascension while everyone's not looking... [e digicons];)[/e] In all honesty, though, we can revive that acronym from the first page: KUTGW!!!

And yes, we have the Eyes. I keep forgetting, too. I'll second the call for a look at the current treaties and wars in the sector. I heartily approve of the way the tempo has picked up.

I play the original in all Kael's glory, or Magister's Modmod, wherever that blasted link is. I like that neither mess with the nice 21 gods/21 civs/21 magic types balance Kael dreamt up. You can find it on civfanatics.com, anyhow, in any of MagisterCultuum's posts, and it deepens a lot of the death/resurrection things. 'Tis good.

The Korx are being less than neighbourly, indeed. Would the council entertain outright war against them should our aid fail to deter them? As for research, I'll back the learned Dr. Malar's recommendation on Neutrality Learning Centres - but only after Starbase Fortification, or whatever the blasted thing is called. I also would like to pursue the Ethics branch with intent to establish a Temple of Neutrality, and while I don't know what Advanced Fire Cont

If this hasn't already been posted, I will be very much surprised. But as I can't find another thread on this topic... The Survey Ship (or Flagship, if you prefer) is a little weird to me. Big-ass hull for the era, with modules that are months away at best. Years, probably. And they eat up anomalies WAY before you can build a second, so a second is never built. The solution seems simple. Get rid of it! You want an explory-type

Is this thread necromancy? If not, I have a further suggestion for your religious freaks: How about their religion is exactly the same as some Terran one? One story floating around in my head has humanity discovering an alien race, and then being utterly astonished that the aliens are Muslim. Granted, that story took a heavily philosophical bent about God starting three separate monotheistic religions (sorta 'retrying') and just took th

Innit more of a Mercenary Academies to capitalize on war rather than war to capitalize on Mercenary Academies? It's not like wars are hard to come by in this sector. But that would ruin a good inflammatory news item.

Excellent. Go us. One further suggestion - let's move on the Eyes of the Universe. Our breathing space would be well used to create some valuable Wonders. I also hadn't considered the protectorate option... Can we tear off enough Yor territory to get all the Psilonic woulds under our influence? Could we have a regional map? Edit: I don't see sensors as a research possibility. Have we alre

We seem to have reached a consensus of sorts. Take as big a chunk off the Yor as possible. Then go after the Sakkra, after grabbing all but one of the Psilonic planets en route. A bit of clarification necessay on Krynn and Trilarian relations. Research on beam weapons and miniaturization, not necessarily in that order. Some discussion/balloting required. Provide some aid to the Torians - how much exactly to be decided by disc
