Thanks for info. Didn't want to find out for myself the hard way lol. I'll worry about defending them later. At any rate, grabbing them now means that the AI is denied those bonuses until war eventually comes.
Do mining Starbases flip? This is my first game and i'm eyeing several resource anomalies near AI territory. The last thing i want is to build the mine only to have them flip over to the opposing side. Sorry if this has been asked before, but searches turn up only threads about asteroid mine flipping.

*Hijacks thread* Is it possible to edit an existing ship design instead of starting from scratch? I hate having to reconstruct a ship from scratch every time i want to switch out obsolete thrusters with newer ones.
