I'm not a fan of puppet states. I think it adds a whole new wrinkle of complexity that should be left out for a future game.
Star Ranger
ayed a game at huge or gigantic size? For a ship to cross the map it takes forever....
I hope of the scaleable race we can add "more" advantages that a fixed amount. That gives a better feel for re-playability.
I think you will have to allow Reits also to be on the same class of ships - You cant refit a fighter to be a battleship.
Yep I'd like to know if they will have a refit feature.
or "commnets and suggestions" that fall outside the above woudl be useful.
Here here ---Star Pilot. "All knowing AI" should only be on the Hardest levels. Totally Agree with you.
> If you want to maximize replayability - don't give the CPU this advantage - that way its is random how fast the cpu will expand (just like a normal human).

sorry - double post
Gooblincookie - think telepathy and not pheromones. Hive minds require have unique mind which can communicate great distances. From a tech perspective - think borg - their subspace communication with the collection could span accross galaxies.

ry good - I think there should be types of worlds, waterwolrds, deserts, gas worlds, etc.
t should be a minor factor. CTP2 automated trade route system does offer a good model to follow. All this talk about micromanagement goes away with automated trade routes.
having unqiue trees would be cool - but game balancing issues may prevent that.
to the developers - Can we get away from the Computer "knowing" where all the good planets are? Same thing where resrouces - computer should NOT know where the resrouces are to be harvested. I mean come on - I thought that was a big hack and unfair advantage the computer had. Please tell me Galciv 2 will be different.
Amen to point 4. I know we may be preaching to the choir - But MOO3 is an example of developers who think they know best.....
. That is to me a better way of blocading - rather than shooting down individual frieghters.
ell with tech with lasers such as - shield piercing, energy draining, - MIRV for missles, etc.
ets me know where my trade routes are.
and tech) as opposed to a giant galaxy with hundreds. We don't have to go down the path of micro-management hell - just makes things scale.
