I am also using the latest SDC, 1.01a.175 build 16, on WinXp machines, one desktop and one laptop. Still having this problem on both of them.

Zadoc, I tried your suggestion several times but couldn't make it work. It seems the downloading is not finished but SDC start to update.

I always got error messages below after downloading 1.05 by SDC. Never got a chance to run the game. Error: Invalid chunk data. Redownloading chunk 0 (attempt 1) Error: Invalid chunk data. Redownloading chunk 0 (attempt 2) Error: Invalid chunk data. Redownloading chunk 0 (attempt 3) Result: Failed (attempt 1)

Unless you have 50% or more of the influence of entire UP, you will be fined. From my experience, they always vote "Yes". (:(

I had this UP "resolution" imposing on me twice in my most recent "Crippling" game (See my metaverse score). They were not 2% but 3% and 4% of my money for other empires. And none of others got such treatment in the game. My Morality was neutral. Drengin and Yor are demonic and evil. Why just me? If they were all "genius", then who is the "fool"? :( Anyone knows why one is the target of such resolution?
