Simply flying through space which is exactly the same everywhere is different from invading Russia in the winter. Does everyone get that?

intelligence stations, research posts, prison colonies, infantry training grounds, missle testing sites, etc. on those planets.
ties, and terraforming.
What do you guys think of it?
The planetary history is good if it is integrated well.

I found a great online scifi game called Zelderex Online to play while waiting for Galciv II to be released It's a massively multiplayer game where you control a corporation and try to take out other corporations through attacking them, sabotaging them, and building up your own technology level and defense. It's quite addictive. Here's the link : <a href="http://ZeldereX.c
s could be bigger). Just a thought.
It seemed clear to me, I guess because my default page is the journals, and that didn't say anything. Didn't a journal say there were two weeks left until the beta?
It was in GC1, so I'm sure it will either be included or the need for it alleviated in GC2.
the Bureaucracy statistic. The lower the number, the more flexible the empire. Am I making this too complicated, or is this a good idea?
I tihink it's clear that, regardless of what system is implemented, upgrades should only be possible in the player's own space. Otherwise, the cheese factor simply breaks the game.
It's my understanding that the premade AIs in the game are all coded independantly (except fotr basic stuff like pathfinding). Is this right?
Stargates are too powerful. A better idea is to have teleportation using black holes, but not being able to create one. That way blackholes become a point of strategic value, and the game stays balanced.
I like Psyringe's idea. It's realistic, not overly complicated, and effective in fixing the problem.
ed the "bad" event you got would instead determine what morality event you get on the planet. So it's a moot point anyway
Fancy, but undoubtedly difficult to implement. Maybe in an expansion pack
reusing segments of code where applicable?
ead up on some of the previews and interviews to find out what's going to be in galciv 2.
I think this was a good decision. It's certainly a lot more visually interesting than a straight vertical line for the map and buttons.

a certain hull class can invade a starbase rather than destroy it; the rationale being that large ships will have marine detachments et al. to invade.
I'd be willing to bet it was good old C++ (along with their proprietary desktopX stuff for the interface).
good chance of defeating the fleet modified by the black hole's effect and then decides from there.) Having it use the black hole for strategic defence would be harder, though.
