Has nothing to do with generational entitlement. I'm so sick of hearing that crap. People are jerks, especially on the internet, no matter when they were born. In my experience, there are just as many entitled 45-60 year olds as there are 15-35 year olds or whatever else. Piggy backing on your comments on the combat system, I feel the numbers surrounding planet improvements are also too obscure to make me feel like I'm making a good choice. A good wiki article could solve this for me, but it is very intimidating when you only have a basic understanding of the mechanics. Whatever more can be done with tool tips to simplify my decision making process would be amazing. I want to see the result of my placement, before I place it. Tell me that if I plac
You sunk my Survey Ship! I noticed the anomaly guarding pirates were beefed up significantly. Or is that random?
I think multiple sensors are not realistic. If I have a radar set that can see 100 miles, putting a second one on a ship wouldn't make it 200 miles. The limit of the radar is unchanged. That is how it should be here as well IMO.
Nailed it. Maybe the solution would be to have different classes of sensors. So you have your normal operational ship sensors for normal and small
"Gosh darn it, there's TheKillerofPeople123 again, my game is ruined". You can rename planets you colonize, other wise the name isn't even on the screen. I fail to see how that can be having such a negative effect on your gameplay.
To clarify my feeling... Doesn't ruin the game, but cheapens it. I still enjoy playing. I am sharing my view that
I think I got the solution... You can name ships, name planets and starbases... WHY NOT NAME STARS?! That's it, that's the ticket! If I don't like it, I can change it. Problem solved. Just thought of it, but I'm away from my home computer, so I hope it isn't already a feature otherwise I will feel pretty silly.
Dane Cook is terrible. Agreed.
I guess I just don't remember all the jokes from GalCivII. But it's been awhile since I played it.
"That's what many of us love about this game series. And yes, there were many that hated on the one in GalCiv II as well." Fair enough. I may be a little harsh in this respect, but I have had a couple of "Really?" moments. If it were me, I wouldn't take them all out, but I would pick and choose - because it messes with the setting. The intro is so epic and the music is epic, the art work is epic and then the events are taken out of T
The game is really shaping up and I am really enjoying the latest release. But... All these jokes built into the game centering around decisions are funny, but going a little overboard. Stop doing schtick, every decision has some silly joke built into it. A joke every now and then is nice, but jokes get old and it comes at price of immersion. Also... The founder star naming has left a-lot of strange star-names. Stuff
To me, Stardock and Elemental are strong brands. I wouldn't have been offended if Sorcerer King was a different Universe, but I'm certainly not offended that it isn't. WoM was a miss-step over all, but I think it was still fun to play - a different perspective on a genre that has been missing an original spark since MoM. Then when you consider the steps they took to repair their reputation and the release of FE, I don't think franchising Elemental is a terrible idea at all. I
I would like to think that there is a difference between obvious and hidden. By that I mean even if it isn't obvious, that doesn't make it hidden.
Before I get flamed to cinders: The game sounds cool, I'm interested and I trust Stardock. I heard about it, so I'm good. Nothing needs to be changed to satisfy me personally. But - I am confused. There is zero reference to Elemental on th
Awesome. Thanks for the notice Derek, I'll be less snarky in future posts. Keep up fighting the good fight!
(I decided to cut the flame part... because it's childish. Long story short, can't assume much about me from one post.) If you saw my less impassioned posts, you'd see that I clarified my issue: I don't know what monsters will attack and what will not and that is a problem because it robs me of the ability to plan ahead. The AI knows this information inherently and can expand much faster. I on the other hand, am left having to assume slow and steady is the way to go or
It just needs to be more clear where to build settlements and where to not. I don't know which npcs are passive and which ones are aggressive.
The major thing is: If the monster has an opportunity to attack my town, they should immediately every time. Or never. That way, I won't bother expanding by them without proper precaution.
What the heck? So I get around to my third game on the recent build and I finally realize the way to keep apace with the AI is to settle lightly defended towns as quickly as possible. But now the Knights of "way overpowered for this early in the game" come and destroy one of these towns. This is balls. Please, I don't know what's going to attack my town and whats not. I see tons of monsters and I have no idea what's going to actually threaten my expansion. Some lik
I've noticed when using the defend skill (the one you get with the shield,) it brings up a casting wand, but there is no applicable square to "cast" in. Eventually the system figures out that a selection isn't necessary (or my tapping of the space bar and frantic clicking registers) and moves on. I've only seen it when champions use the skill, not units.
I can't figure out any other reason why they would enter my territory. They aren't following routes to their destination cities even, just throwing themselves at my swords.
I had the same problem with this quest. I've had similar problems with other quests as well.
This probably isn't a big secret but it's kinda a big deal. 1.) Cannot move my stack onto same tile as a caravan regardless of nationality. 2.) The A.I. can move their stacks onto caravans regardless of nationality therefore creating situations where I cannot attack them.
