Have seen this too. However with the appropriate hero + units combination and spells, they should not pose a problem. For example with Peregrin with the shoot-first-ask-questions-later-skill, and 3-4 archer units, all the weak units should disappear. And with some (Kraxis) Lancers and slow both Vethy and Alzy is a piece of cake. Besides you can see the units in the army, and arrange your army to counter these units. For example Vethy is quite quick for such a large

Yeah, the mage heroes need some kind of area-effect, which has a lower cool down than 5 turns. Else they cannot survive. For example the Tyrant-hero, Naphy, has this Dark Spread, which is a nice "area-of-effect" skill. However it has a cool down of 5 rounds, and little Naphy is not big enough to survive the bullying from trolls and ogres etc. At the moment he kind of sucks compared to the melee heroes or the archer heroes. On the other hand both Tandis and Doro (d

Bug: The Priest does not have Sovereign Intro Quest. Do you not like Priestess?? I started a game with all the default/standard Sovereigns and it is only the Priest, who does not get a intro-quest. The game is started with random map, medium size, normal difficulty and common shards. I go straight from "PLAY" to the name your city and skip this tutorial-thingy. ps. Maybe I have angered the God(s) and thus they do not deem me fit to receive

Just wanted to add that Ship yards are also constructed using a constructor component. Each ship yard can get manufacturing points from up to 5 planets, where amount "sponsored" is dependent on distance. If you build a colony ship or a transporter the planets within 5 tiles of range of the ship yard will also sponsor population, where each colony component or transport component can hold up to 3 people.
Id like to start this post by saying, I am really excited to play this game! Here is what I need to be able to enjoy this game, perhaps this info is already documented... if so can someone link?: 1) I need clarification on the actual effects of researching tech ACROSS THE BOARD. Example: Ship speed vs Ship moves? This is game terminology - it should be explained somewhere. Also the research item descriptions (which make

I just want to say that the stream is (nearly) unbearable to watch. 1. The sound and video is not synchronized meaning that the video is ~10 seconds ahead of the sound. This makes it really bothersome to watch. This is also the case for the GalCiv 3 stream April 24. 2. Chriss is much better than Scott at playing SK. I mean he managed to properly place a city, get a new shard AND getting his units to survive the tactical battle.

This is an old bug from beta 4 (I think). Despite this they have not prioritized it enough to fix this. I would assume you "just" needed to remove some XML-code, but maybe it is more diffilcult than that.

Hi I just wanted to hear if the upcoming patch next week (week 16) will contain an revised skill tree for the wizard and for the heroes. Will we also see a working skill tree for the Priest and the Tinker? For the priest, you do NOT get a Scoundrel hero, while the Tinker does NOT get extra recipes etc. (at least in B4, havent tried with B5). The upcoming patch looks promising.
One of the annoying aspects of SK is that you end up with oodles of weapons and no-one to give them to. As far as I can tell the only character you can provide with a weapons is your initial champion. Every other character referred to as a "champion" is in fact not. So when the minor factions give you their champions they are just regular units. This is a bug, over sight or have I missed something?
This is confirmed

I think the problem is it is very difficult to tell, which kind of terrain you are targetting. The spell description should maybe be more clear about what types of terrain can be targeted (and not targeted). From the last video stream it is seems that the latest internal build has some kind of information showing terrain information.

Scott, when you casted Tireless March on your units, did you not find it cumbersome that the units are not visually selected e.g. a light frame around the unit box showing it is selected. Further the selection should be larger, because why do you have to scroll through a lot of units? In Legendary Heroes, Tireless March was restricted to a one-time use.

It seems that spell in general does not work as intended. The spells: enchant land, place road also shows the same problem. I cannot say if enchant land and place road should only work on specific type of tiles, but compared to B4, the spells in B5 have become more or less useless, when you are talking about spells targeting terrain.
Thanks, BlackSmokeDMax! That Necromancy is jarring to me. I've always associated it with evil ever since my youthful forays into the Caves of Chaos... before I took an arrow to the knee. This Wizard needs a whole lot of summoning spells, and an ability where he (as the SOV, not as his first unit to move) always gets the first action in a combat. <

The only spells I use reguarly so far: - Heal - Wellspring (if I get it) - Place road (at least in beta 4, not so much in beta 5 as it is useless now) - Cloudwalk - Pillar of flame - Aura of Grace - Aura of Vitality - Natural Bounty - Enchanted hammer - Arcane Forge - The last city production spell - Tireless march<
