Crashes on restart after playing in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I recently got an HP Touchsmart 300 pc runnig Windows 7. The Graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 3200 and the processor is AMD Athlon X II 235e. Every time I start the game it says my graphics driver needs to be able to run DirectX 9.0c and advises me to make sure my drivers are newer than 2005. My driver date is 2/2010. The game always starts up fine and I can start a new game but if I save and stop after getting pretty far along in the game then come back later too load my saced game it tells
