I think that you need to remember that because a supernova is a normal-space phenomenon, it wouldn't take very long for the planets in the same system to feel the effects, but it would take years for planets in other sectors to be affected.
Good point there. but what I was thinking recently is that stars above a set size always produce black-holes and a gama-ray burst that moves 1 sector every 2 turns for a smal

I played a couple hundred turns figuring I just needed to research the right tech. When I finally realized no farms were forthcoming, I quit the game and headed here to verify my suspicions. Nice mod but the lack of farms is a show stopper for me. I want more control over the population of a planet than the one-size-fits-all solution

Alright. some things I noticed: 1. some look lego-ish 2. some look well for the GC:II art style 3. most were...weird at best. 4. a few designs looked like they were either: A: Cannibalized from http://www.i-mod-productions.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=127 OR B: they stole those from you(or that was you.) 5. the recolors were not needed, and can be easily done.</p

It is just one of my custom races, the others are 100% fine (however coated in TODO: DISPLAY NAMEs). I'll be going through my tech tree over the next few games with thier gigantic research bonus and checking the techs.

From what I understand the library is broken and no longer being added to, as I've seen no new stuff...ever, only things from back ~5+ years ago... A better idea would be to upload it to Mediafire and give it out here.
Probably because Gamestop applies a force similar to a black hole. Personally, although I have GalCiv 2 installed already, I have no idea if I would be able to re-download it from them if it became necessary.
You should be able to migrate it to steam. Don't worry about their "DRM", it is barely noticeable and still allows offline play without launching steam.
thanks for that link, I'll get back to you with the results. also, I use Tolmekian's TechTree Fix v3.51, so some techs/their derivatives were removed, and this tech tree copied the entire techtree.xml and removed those that were not needed.

Low ping numbers are better, higher numbers show that it takes longer in miliseconds to reach the server in question. There are a few ways to deal with slow connection due to being cheated by a company. 1. Call an complain and threaten to switch companies 2. sue them (won't be likely to win) 3. Call and have your connection evaluated, it might be that it is broken or damaged. 4. Call and ask what your MBs cap is, and if you have excee
Well one answer is that you'll only get the speed that the website you're visiting affords you. As for wired versus wireless? Speedtest.net as the above said. Generally everyone overpays for substandard performance. And in response to Greg30007 's idea, for wireless go for a Dual-Band Wireless N router/card, or a newer one that is not Wireless G or B.
Also, don't forget to check the added parts for a tech requirement...

Yes it is. Take the photo, make sure it fits reasonably within the 256x256 confines without much distortion, save that as a .png, move it to: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\Gfx\Portraits
Well, GalCiv2UE is great, but for GC3, I'd like to see the following: 1. A change in file types: .X, .XML and .PNG are all great, but there are better file types out there, I suggest the use of .TGA(compressed), .INI and some other model type that can be re-opened in blender (.x files can be exported but not imported.). 2. Don't forget the little guy: Even if it is a newer game, please don't forget most people cannot shell out $800 on a new PC to run
