To Rusty Gamer Just interested in getting you though on the AI ability to use range and speed. I really liked you mod but because I exclusivly play on an immense map I chanhed the range modifier in hyperdriver to -250. This play really well for me (human) but I was wondering on the effect that this will ahve on the AI. Also, it seems to me that the AI always has very slow ships, focusing entirely on weapons. By reduce speed ever futher does this make the problem ever worse??

Cannot check on that now, as I updated my TA to 2.03 and am still trying to get that to even start. Once new problem is fixed (some time soon I hope), then I will check the degub and look for the 'out of memeroy'. Thanks for responding, I really appreciate it.

When ON: If you look on the mini map you can not see where other civs influces is located, unless you have actually explored there. When Off: On the min i map, right from the beginning of the game you can see where all the other civ influces are.

I have been in contact with star dock an they are investigatiing, but they did comment that my debug report seeded to have only the first page. I double check this and that is definatly all there is. It a real shame that no one has answered you question as I have the exact same problem. Bought the ultimate addition and all three chapter worked fine, but, 3-5 hours into a game there seemed to be a crash. So as you did, I installed TOA 2.03 hope this might fix the issue and DL, DA are both still working, but not TOA (does not start, black screen for two seconds and back to desktop). Haveing a few proble with my gal civ 2 ultimate edition. 1. Purchase hard copy of game from Kalpsal (not sure of spelling) and installed game. It ran fine with TOA 1.97 as the version. 2. Just bought GC2 ultimate and was enjoy my first game. However, after mabye 5-6 hours of play (total, not necesserily in one lump) my game starts to crash. This 5-6 hour threshhold seemed to co inside with my first battles being fought. If I reload it plays fine for 10-30 turn (random) and then crashes again. I am playing on an immense map, Any idea's.

Uh, I'm not actually downloading the game, I just purchased the cd version as I have had some bad experieces with online download. So, does this mean no patch for me?. Also, there seem very little activity on the bug page so I will post my problem here as well. Originally I owned gal civ 2 DA, and at the moment it is still on my computer. I would like to uninstall it and start with a fresh install from my new disk. However, I cannot find a way to uninstall it, as its not in the program list a

Checked to see if impulse has anything to do with it. But, as you problably guuess you need to be onile in register with impulse. So, my question remains, how can you possible uninstall gal civ 2 if it does not appear in the program list?The reason I want to it because I just bought the untimate edition and I want to to a fresh install. Installed it from my CD, cannot remember about impule or not. Will check but in the end I wish they would just use copy protection like everyone else, for thoose of us who's gaming computer is not connected to the internet, it really is a s*** system (patches etc)f

Is there somthing I am missing, trying to unistall Gal civ 2 (dark avatar) and can not find any way to do it. With the game folder themselves there is no unistall icon, and , more strangely, in the add or remove programs section the is not meantion og gal civ 2, stardock or any related program. Surely I don't just delete the game folders? Any advice would be great.

Thanks again for the qiuck respones guy. So, my Uni pc is indeed set up so that only admin can load programs, however if I can dowload the correct files from impulse, as Garabee states, I will be able to download patch (in some unreconiable form that only impulse can read) and install impulse on my home pc (no internet connecttion) which will then be able to install the patch (Am I understanding you right Garabee) then this could work. Will try and find patch to dowload. <

That for the reply Gargabee Went to the link and registered, and it comes up with a dowload link for Impulse exe. This is where I reun into problems. I can dowload the exe fine, but on the Univercity computer you can't just install a progrem on thier computers (ie impulse) and I am assuming that Impulse must be installed, then patch downloaded and saved to a portable medium. If so, I am still in the same boat, unable to get lastest patches even though I own the game.

Bit of a star trek fan, and noticed a total conversion that requires Twilight of Arnor to play. I am going to by the Gal CiV 2 Ultiamte addition but I will need to patch it. If the computer you play you game on is not connected to the internet, is it still possible to use impulse with valid authoirzation codes? The only access to the net I have is at Uni, and their set up does not allow for any downloading of programs on a desk top.?? Any advice would be greatly apprecited.
