well glad this thread helped somebody. because all this thread taught me that a graphics card that hasen't been supported by ATI since Catlasyt 6.6 will now no longer run My newly bought expansion because the update really put a wrench in it for me. sigh... anyone wanna donate 500 so i can get a computer that has a graphics card that isen't unsupported? because im sure after sitting on it a whole day and thinking about it, its the only reason it hangs is because my graphics card is too o

Okay so a clean install worked and i think its a high possiblity that the save was also corrupted too. thanks for the help and thanks for the auto save tip Gm00nii
ill try that but im also going to try a clean install of the game because i did a new game and it seems to freeze when it tries to say "hey you researched xeno enginering" and it freezes before moveing anything. and when the game does freeze it dosen't let me do anything at all. its like clicking on a picture. but ill see if a new install will work.
i doubt i ran out of memory because i ran an immense map 2 days ago with half of it under my rule and about 150+ ships. the game i was trying to run was large map with about 4 ships and only 5 planets. i barely researched anything and its the begging of the game. this has happened to me on multiple games but the error log about shows one that i loaded. to further clarify what happens when im playing my game all is fine until i hit end turn. when this happens the game freezes w
So im just haveing fun but about 20 turns in the game locks up like it failed to load something and it just sits there not even letting me back into desktop to kill the program or end process. ive been running it fine since i got it and this problem has only shown last night. i would have posted it then but the guides that tell how to post a bug don't tell me where to find the .err file. note: generic telivision is off and not even hooked up System Info Time: 8
