getting naked noir to work? in WindowBlinds WinCustomize Forums

Hay all, So I just reinstalled vista 32 bit home pre. and now when I try to put naked noir back up it is not working! Here is what I do, I take it from my external hard drive and place it in public/documents/stardock/windowblinds right along side the rest of them and nothing shows up in the Winblinds app. I tryed useing the install new and still nothing. I am not a wiz at this stuff, but I pay my fee's and support this wonderful site. anything would be great. thanks.

New Noob question for you smarter then i peeps. How can i back up my WB skins? I got a virus (Trojan horse clicker.AALX) apparently its a new one, havent found anything on how to get rid of it, So i am just gonna wipe and reboot windows... Now i paid for naked noir and a few others, but i cant find how to back them up... any help on that? or even better the virus =P

well the laptop is a dell, and it comes with its own gock program, but it was easily turned off. could that be causing some sort of malfunction? I guess its not that big of a deal but i paid for it, and altho the icons i got for her are really nice, having them all over the place is just fugly.

So I have objectdock plus on 2 comps, it works great on the standerd case but on my laptop... it wont display my open windows as "screenshot thumbnails" Now it tells me that it only works on sliders or something, and that i need to restart objectdock... how do i do that? i did a right click quit, but that dident work. anyone know of anything?

Ok i spent 2 hours looking at the script, followed how to open it to the letter, tryed to disable the weather, but found no weather_temp, weather_image or location... am i missing something here? I right click the DX builder icon and i get a list but none of it shows anyhting like that, it says weather a million times for sure but its always "weather..." how the hell do i see whats beyond the "..." First off i know this place needs the support of green paper, but im a little short atm. I bought OB plus a few days ago along with dreamscapes and a few other of the neat programs. Heres the problem, my wife wanted it on her laptop, so i got the free version of objectdock for her as thats all she really needs, but the free version has no built in battery meter!!!! First i must say that i have come across only nice people in this win community, truly one of the last places in the world to do so. (even if it is just digital) plain and simply put,I wish to learn how to make widgets. I know there is alot of scripting and what not that goes into it, but if any of you pro's know of any books or sites that will in the words of the 'W' "Learn me" on how to do it, it would be vary helpful to me. well i knew about the widget but not the objects, i also just found that i can save my current desktop in themes, which may keep the objects there as well? doubling up or whatever. and thanks

So ya... Im still new to all this stuff.. can some one please tell me how to keep objects to stay on my desktop? Instead of having to reopen them every time i turn on my computer. Or do i need to have an actual theme with the objects intergrated into it.

Im sure this was gone over but i havent read ALL this. ObjectDock has a weather Docklet icon that gives a 5 day forcast, and if you click to go to there website, it has humidity and wind... so if this is used so freely, why dosent everyone just update to that? Because it seems to me, that nearly every good widget and theme has weather, and they all give that annoying zip error that never goes away unless you turn off the widget or theme.

I have a diffrant sort of question. I like the Time, mouse meter thing, calender, and the bottom cpu-prosseser meter bar on the naked noir... is there anyway to just disable the weather all togeather on that widget so i can still use it at least for what half of it is?

Im sure this has been said a million times, but here it goes anyway. My Naked noir_w widget at the start up gives me a message "this isent a valid zip code" then when I X or hit ok it has me type one in, then it says the same message again, i have to start the task manager to make it stop. Yes i have cleared cashe, yes the UAC is off.... what else can i do?

Naked noir_w widget issue in DesktopX WinCustomize Forums

Ok so, When you download naked noir widget you get 3 items, one of which displays white font, the others display black. here is the problem, the one with white font dosent work! It comes up just fine, but it is just a blank piece of glass, no letters or numbers display on it, i turned off my uac, i deleted and re downloaded, but nothing changed. Any thoughts?
