FutileEmotion and tshughes are definetely not active anymore - we all play LoL these days. Mostly because of the reason we wouldn't be T1 anyways - we played all of our games together (until school got too busy for me and they started doing 2v2's). Thus at least Futile and I would be disqualied on the base that we would only be in on the strength of our team. That being said, tshughes is a beast who would be on that list anyways. However, back when we did play we defin

Tim, Futile, and I have quit DG because we like to play games together, and we don't like waiting an hour. We've been bumming around in LoL lately because it's nice to get a game going instantly, but the gameplay isn't as good as DG, but the game is free :P
2v2 on Cataract, speed stacking is very powerful, that is definetly true.
Assuming a hell of a lot there _Jona. I'm not sure if you are trolling, or truly ignorant.
It's been my observation that the more the game lags, the better really shitty players can do. It really evens the gap - the best players make the proper decision the first time, without really having to think about it. The massive lag allows poor players time to make the right decision that they wouldn't have made before. In any portal locking chase-a-thon, Erebus and Oak have an incredible advantage. Meanwhile, his team had a QoT, which means that lasting 60 minutes
Treb is for taking down their towers from inside your tower farm. When your allies (and their team) is busyish elsewhere, a rook faced only by one other DG will scythe through their towers without leaving your tower farm. If the rook trys to walk up and bash the towers when there is another DG hanging around, this has a bad tendency to end with gankage. So if you are in a position where you are level 8+ and want to get through those towers in front of you easily, you get tre
This is almost exactly how I play my rook, except I get the tower of light earlier (at level 5) and push all of the hammer upgrades down the list to do so. Sometimes, I'll get Trebuchet at level 8 also - it is amazing for downing towers and kiting at that time. It really depends on what position my rook is in. I will *never* play rook without good allies who I know can tele in and bail me out, and send me a split priest. I do lose a little bit by not getting that max h
Oh, I'm a bad ass. I'm mother fucking awesome. That doesn't change the cheese factor of oak shield :P
Erska/Sakke have a very good 2v2, mostly due to the massive overpowerdness of the oak shield/hearth in 2v2. The fact that you can't interrupt ports or pots with the shield is pretty silly. It can be beat (and tshughes and I have beaten it in all but one game that we played them) but it's pretty cheese.
"This is not a build for beginners." He wants to start out like that, I'll treat him like a non beginner.
You really really want to throw away your gold, because the game was too close otherwise.
... Without penitence? Seriously? Morale instead of penitence? Do you understand what armor reduction means? Or what an interrupt is?
Just because you are underitemized doesn't mean you lose XP. There are two waves. You have 3 DG. Any decent team will manage to get almost all of that xp, no matter how itemized they are.
Even better, a UB can grasp a shielded oak - it just costs the UB mana and has no actual effect on the oak, whatsoever.
Level 10? That IS late game. Snipes barely even outdamage priest heals, so the "annoyance" factor is mute. And no, that annoyance factor from his snipe/mines does NOT give you flag control. Even more useless is his complete lack of interrupts. It works against crappy teams and crappy players, and that is all. The other team has a reg, my team will take an Erebus and a UB every time, and rotate the UB to the reg's side. Reg comes close, spit gets dr
I find it hilarious that you define voice communication as the difference between a friend and a premade. I play with my friends when I play DG, and we DO use voice communication. However, that is traditonally almost entirely your mom jokes and the like - the voice com has VERY little affect on how we play. Without voice, we do just as well. That being said, I would definetly call us a premade - with or without voice.
We always get xp 1 and currency immedieatly, because we play a long term game. We farm all of our creeps, don't depend on early kills, conserve our cash, and then dominate flag control late game against any opponents who didn't do the same, and we get catas as soon as we hit 8 and giants as soon as we hit 10. Opponents who use consumables early - like sigils - can't keep up in the long run.
Bad. Horrid. Dreadful. Dead weight. And that's me being polite.
Watch other peoples replays then, if you really want to learn. And then - and this is the critical part - watch the replays of the games you lost. And at every point that you died, ask yourself why, and what you should have done differently. If people were better about asking why things went wrong, it's far easier to fix them. With my group, every time someone dies, the immediate question is "why". And then we figure out what went wrong, and fix it.
Sometimes ego is neccesary. I was being horridly mean to a random teammate today - playing a 3v3, he gets left alone on the mana side so gets double xp, he doesn't buy a single upgrade (tshughes and I get xp1, currency, priests, angels, cata, giants all as soon as they should be gotten), and gets gifted 3 kills early. Then he plays like a fricking tard and goes from 3-0 to 3-5 being given all of those advantages, and playing an oak with shield. I was slightly more h
All other things being equal, the team that gets xp1 first will win. My team always gets it before we hit warscore 3. (Currency, on the other hand, we get as SOON as we hit warscore 3). XP2 is far more situational, but xp 1 is required.
Every general needs priests.
Best advice you'll ever get: Quit playing QoT or TB. If you really want to get good at this game, play Erebus, UB,Sedna, or Oak. At the top level, those are the only playable DG's.
Just think what the win % of top players would be WITHOUT all the disconnects. I know that over half of my losses are due to connectivity issues, and most of the rest are random PUGS or messing around, etc. I can think of two losses I've had with my actual best premade, and one of those was against a team that we beat 5/6 times. Demigod is a game where the more skilled player/team will win 95% of the time, even if they are close. Anyone who isn't close is just doomed
FutileEmotion, tshughes, and I have basically already left. Tim and I took about 30+ minutes to get a game today, and that was with just the two of us on. I'd like to thank Kalel and Obscenitor for coming into the lobby, having a random teamate with 450+ games and an 83% win percentage, and leaving rather then play tim, myself, and a random with a 60% win percentage who was playing TB. Of course, we all know that kalel is a pansy ass who hates to play fair games. &
