Oops, I think I made a mistake, though. In order to watch single ship on ship battles, you may need to enable "Always Watch Player Ships in Full Battles." This option is found in the Interface menu, too. [e digicons][/e]

If you mean your own forces: Go into Options --> Interface Make sure that "Show Full Fleet Battles ONLY if both sides are Fleets" option is disabled . I think that should do it, and you'll see every battle you get into whether it's fleet versus fleet, or ship versus ship. If you mean fights between ships not involving your forces, I don't think it can be done.
No, no. You can still do it. Go into your Stardock Games folder, and then open the "Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition" folder. There is an icon named "GalCiv2". This is vanilla Dread Lords. You should also see folders named "Twilight" and "DarkAvatar." Opening those you will find icons named "GC2TwilightoftheArnor" or "GC2DarkAvatar" respectively. Create a Desktop Shortcut of any or all of those icon
Are you using the Ultimate Edition? If so, simply putting the "cheat" at the end won't do anything. You have to add it to the individual game (Dread Lords, Dark Avatar, Twilight of the Arnor) launch code.
The only possible solution I can think of is perhaps using the cheat which moves a selected ship to whereever the cursor is located. I forget what that code is.
I'm not sure if this is working as intended, but this is a known...bug? Feature? Something. I had it happen to me, as well. No, they don't have any planets, and don't give them one. They won't develop it. Given time you can work out an Alliance with them, too. Stranger still, when it happened in my game, the Peacekeepers also worked out an alliance with one of the other races: the Torians, who gave them ships. It's a
I actually like the Jagged Knife. I consider my war against them to be my finest hour, liberating 100 worlds. Where illegel time travel comes in handy is the "5 pc speed limitation" event. I NEVER tolerate that one. Ever. As for the Dread Lords, I've always considered their arrival to be weaksauce. They've never been a major threat. It's the damn Pirates and Peacekeepers (unless the PK decide to be friends with you) that will really drive
...Star Wars: The Old Republic, a MMO created by BioWare and LucasArts, which claims to bring a new element to MMO gameplay. Story.
Hmm...well, I sure hope they bring in some other new elements, cause there's this little game called World of Warcraft that's been telling a story, too. Blizzard no longer makes Warcraft RTS games as they want to tell the rest of the story in an MMO. One thing about story in
No, the torian homeworld has not been conquered yet. The torians are very powerful in my game, with fleets with 100+ weapons, while everyone else has probably half that. Intend to do it myself, probably in a few weeks or so, as I prepare my invasion fleet and take most of their empire with one blow. At that time, I think I'll pretty much beaten the game. I think I can do it unless someone

Appreciate the help
That's not a mistake, though. That's intentional. They extort you because they believe you're too weak to defend your
Small and tiny ships are a good way to cheaply boost your military might and "protect" your planets. I put "protect" in quotes because they usually can't beat off an attack, but their mere presense in orbit dissuades troop transports from even moving toward your territory. Any vessel in orbit can do this, of course, but I like to use fighters because it also adds to your military strength, which can help prevent the other races from trying to extort money from you.
I had the same issue. Torians did not build any improvements on 14 of their planets. Not sure what causes this. I just know that the issue does not fix itself, as even after 15 years or so, they still didn't improve those worlds. Out of curiosity, in your game, had the Torian homeworld been conquered by another race and gained possession of their unique waterslide park super project or whatever it is?
From what I've read in past posts, "Militaristic" is a value assigned to the other race. They are the one's who are militaristic, not you. If you are, either intentionally or not, being a relatively peaceful nation, the AI calculates a conflict of interest between a peaceful race and militaristic one, even though I've rarely had that be a problem.
An article about what Valve intended to do with Left 4 Dead, written prior to the game's release: http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/left_4_dead/news/valve_details_post_left_4_dead_launch_plans.html Basically what I take from this is that Valve took all the updates they were going to do for Left 4 Dead (like they do for TF2), put them in a new package, and call
What ethical alignment did you choose? I've noticed the AI tends to be more forgiving when you haven't officially chosen an alignment. They don't treat "Leaning Evil" the same as "Evil," for example. I've noticed I can get Friendly or Close relations with Evil civilizations if I'm "Leaning Good", but when I officially choose the Good ethical alignment, my relations go down to Neutral. We can be friends again, but it takes more work. The Thal
I agree with a lot of the points Jabberjaws made. This is a great game, don't get me wrong. Some points can be explained away, but overall Jabberjaws lists some, what I consider, flaws.
2. I'd get the heck out of there and shut the damn thing down, never to start it up again. Seriously. Every other fricken' episode of TNG was about the Holosuite screwing up, threatening the lives of the crew and disabling that heap of junk of a ship. You'd think after a while they would have had the good sense to unplug it until, I don't know, maybe some bug fixes and patches were put into place? [e digicons][/e] You're better off thr
Just for clarification, how do you know it's not receiving the bonus? You say the ship doesn't receive the bonus, but some screens only display the standard stats for a ship design. For example, look at the screenshot below:

Way to many hours later I saved may design and quit the game without saving my game. I though saving the design was enough. Then last night when I loaded the game that game would have been before I started the design, so the design isn't there. The ship is in my games folder though. It also shows up in the shipyard that

1.) Go to your C: Drive. 2.) Open Program Files folder 3.) Look for "Stardock Games" folder and open it. 4.) Open the "Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition" folder 5.) In there you should find something simply titled "GalCiv2" and its icon will be the Drengin race logo. Double click on that and it will launch the standard Dread Lords game. Hope this helps. EDIT: Also, if you want to play Dark Avatar as a stan
So, two years later was this issue ever resolved? Cause I have v2.02 and this just happened. Unfortunately I can't post the debug.err file because that is now all erased. You will find that on the Planet Details screen, though. The only way to know if a ship has the bonus is to compare the stats to
