We haven't heard so long from Frogboy ... maybe he isn't going to do it. One thing I would really like at the start screen is the ability to create teams of other civilizations at war or on the same team at the start screen. I'd also like to be able to save governor configurations across games.

Update again, going into regedit and fixing the entry in the registry worked. Go to: @"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Kynosarges\Galactopedia" If that does not work (for any other users doing this), wipe the Kynosarges entry out completely. Change the directory if incorrect. I found this out by downloading the source of the previous edition and looking through it. If possible, please send me the source as well. &

We still need a more practical solution that this. Sadly, Stardock may have abadoned this game altogether. [e digicons]:([/e]

Some of the articles need to be updated to Twilight v2.03 standards. Other than that, it is a good resource.

Do you feel sometimes that the size mods kind of take away from the game? I've felt that the differences between huge and large sized hulls for example aren't that big. Would anyone be interested in a mod to remove the size mods on the game? it would be a very simple 1 file mod.

Fortify border worlds with appropriate defenses. Are these spore ships armed? If not, a single fighter with a decent weapon can hold the ground. What I do is put a cheap fighter in orbit around each planet near the border. Nearby, I keep a few battleships in patrol. If I see them, I immediately divert a battleship to intercept.
2) Races do not expand properly - many staying gimped throughout the game - either by not expanding, or by expanding and then doing nothing with the planets or building enough ships to defend/attack
On the whole, I'd say buy it still. The AI is reasonable if you set the difficulty on high and most of the bugs are fixed. Avoid the high definition mod for now (as it is buggy with v2.03). You're missing a lot without Twilight.
News people I just uninstalled the High definition Mod (apparently is no longer compatible with version 2.03, but worked incredibly fine in -1.96 versions) and athe game stopped crashing (for now) when i saved, Im not saying its a solution as i havent played that long and will probably have to restart a new game since planets now look like black holes in the current one, any way ill keep you posted if this solved my problem with the Out of m

We need real capital ships. - Eliminate the size mod for the ships. - Give a disadvantage to caps and damage multipliers. - A tiny hull ought to be, to use Sins of a Solar Empire, a fighter. Maybe a medium would be a frigate, a large would be a Kodiak HC, and a huge ... bigger than a Kol. - REAL starbases (and much more upgradeable). Perhaps even a "starbase editor" based on the ship editor. - Tactical combat. I would even go as far as to say, eac
Asteroids DO come in clusters. In fact, clustered asteroids are thought to be more common than belt asteroids. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trojan_asteroid
Actually, most asteroids are not in clusters but belts. The Trojan asteroids are at the Lagrangian points of Jupiter. Perhaps there ought to be asteroids at the Lagrangian points of other planets. </p

At heart, I think that the limitation is the fact that this is a 32 bit app. Any solutions will involve switching. What I wonder is if the app could be converted to be a native 64 bit or we could get an option to go in 64 bit mode (ex: like in my PC, I have Internet Explorer x86 and then x64). I wonder if that is possible with GC2.

There doesn't appear to be any real solutions at this point. Pong in space sometimes works. Any way to implement that special switch? Here, read this: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/vista-workshop,1775-7.html Can we ask Stardock how much trouble it may be to have the game converted to 64 bit maybe? Or perhaps both x86 and x64. It is possible to have 2 versions together (on Vista x64, you've got IE x86 and IE x64). I use Firefox, but t

Lol - I just noticed something new. The game seems to crash with an out of memory when I save and tells me to increase virtual memory, even though it is only using less than 2.5 Gb out of the 4 Gb + 2Gb of virtual ram on my system.
