The bonus is listed in the "Details" Page of the planet. I see my 48% manufacturing bonus. I just wish this was in some way displayed upon the "Summery" page.
I just reviewed my last game as Yor. The psionic weapons occured 3-5 techs earlier than the most damaging weapon of each category. It took me 20 turns to bridge the gap between a psonic weapon and the end game weapon. The psionic weapon of course took about 3-4 turns to research and provides about a 33-50% damage bonus over the equivocal tech weapon (What you would use if you didn't have psionic). With that said, I do realize that a direct comparison of a "Black Hole Gu
Hi guys, I just completed my second game as Evil Yor and I was curious as to which factions get the good, neutral and evil technologies. I'm asking because WHen I was good Kryn, I got no unique techs unlocked (I did get innate bonuses of being good). Also The evil technologies (the psonic weapons) appear to be pointless. In many cases the choice of black hole gun or pisonic gun, which really wasn't a choice, the black hole gun does more damage. Th
I have 5 econ starbases with 3 levels of the manufacturing modules (+5% research/military/social production) but the planets within the bubble do not appear to be gaining any of the benefits. I'm seeing the normal number of "shields" being produced and no additional planetary modifier. Now before I go claiming that this is broken, I just want to iterate the steps I took to set these to to make sure I did everything correctly. 1. Build an econ starbase with the a
So i started my second game as Yor (Had to throw in the towel in the first game). Habital: Abudant Planets: Common Size: Huge Normal Tech Pretty much the middle for everything but frequent randoms (I find them to be halarious, even when they happen to me. Drengin president got assasinated breaking the Terrain Dregin alliance.) Anyway, I read the "Index of Tricks" thread and holy crap, there were a lot of good ideas.
Ok I did try building a mil starbase and found the ship asst modules. However, I can only get +1 def assist. Didn't you say you could get +9 def? I couldn't find them in the tech tree.
[quote who="Mumblefratz" reply="4" id="2841849"] But there are a different type of modules that can only be added to military starbases that don't affect the starbase itself but do add weapons and defense to any and all of your (armed) ships that are in their area of influence. These are the starbase *assist* modules and they can in fact be quite powerful. One military starbase outfitted with the max starbase assist modules can add 44 points of weapons and 9 points of defense to an
That was it. The UP outlawed them (It must have started that way because I never saw the bill for voting).
Ok I wasn't sure if defense factored in at all. Thanks for the help
Ill look and see if I can build a spin control center. I haven't put a lot of effort into starbases (they seem to pop even with lots of armor). Thanks
I have all 5 techs researched and simply there is no option for a constructor to build the foundation? I've tried all 3 types of starbases and there is not a single option for a terror star component. What am i doing wrong?
I'm in my first game (well first somewhat successful game) and I control about 70% of a huge map (Krynn Influence baby). Anyway, I finally got off my kester and read how many ships the Drath have (The strongest military). They have 467 ships!. I only have 40 ships in my entire navy (Can it be called that with such small numbers [e digicons]:D[/e] ) However, All of my ships have very high values of defense. A standard Drath ship has 10 missile at
I was reading up on the Drath Empire in my game (I'm Krynn) and my report stated they have 437 attack ships. My report on myself stated I have 37 defense ships. The drath have 0 defense ships and I have 0 attack ships. What determines if a ship is attack or defense? My only guess is that my defenses on my ships far out rank their attack raiting (13 chaff vs 8 gauss attack) and the computer is the polar opposite. Would only have defense ships keep my military raiting low
Thanks for the reply. Ill try another game on tough until i get the hang of this game. Looks like i might put points into tech instead of influence next time:).

I tried a game as the Kryn (love the faction btw. I choose technologists so instead of religion, I pretend i'm spreading technology worship). Anyway, I have had lots of problems with influence. Map Size: Immense Difficulty: Crippling 1. A minor race is within my ZoC. I built an influence starbase and upgraded it to flip them. I eventually sent spies in and they reported I had 9999% the minor's influence. Does this mean that you can
Thanks for the help. Ill give these a try later when i restart.
I'm having some difficulty economically with the Yor. They don't appear to have an econ boosting building (the markets I was so fond of in DL). How do Yor players get past this deficit? I've tried spamming the farm things (they call it something else. Also boosts morale :)). but my tax income was still pitiful. Any advice will be appreciated. Jec
