So yeah, I'll be playing something else. Thanks for saving me the time to find out. Until they lower the connecting times to 0 and more then 4 people can play, I won't be touching this game again.
doubledigit
I gave up playing this game long ago, tried it in the first two weeks but because starting a game proved to be a very lengthy process and once inside, two or more players left, I slowly stopped playing it. Is it any better now? Can one connect to a game faster and with more than 2vs2 players? I'm at work now and I just remembered about it, so please refrain from posting crap like "why don't you try it yourself".
Saying that crap could be worse doesn't help and just gives the devs the impression they can get away with even more crap. All of a sudden normal will turn into great and worse would be normal. Like matchmaking suddenly started to replace the old and trusty server browser and everyone is ok with it. Left 4 Dead, GTA IV and other titles that use the Windows Live or whatever is called.
Does it hurt if you have a basic idea of how things work mr. ValrRev? Then again, if you don't even have an idea of how things work, why do you give opinions in the first place?
My problem is, who's this Alice you keep talking about? [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]

You don't need Demigod, you need the program above, which if done properly should listen to those ports and if the incomming connection succeds it means you're ports are forwarded properly.
Yes, it's been posted before, I'll post it again to make sure the devs see this and take action. There's no point in continuing a game when the whole enemy team left. A victory button and a continue button should appear in this case letting you choose what you want to do.
No, but there are some people around here that have the impression that the maps took a huge amount of time to make. The maps are fairly simple and even if the modding community may not spawn maps as beautifull as these, some more interesting in terms of gameplay may appear.

If you are not familiar with the game engine and you don't know what role things like heightmaps, strata, decals, procedual skydomes, props, bps, markers, path nodes, emitters, albedos, bump and normal maps play in the SupCom engine, please don't even try to guestimate a price tag for a Demigod map. I'm intimately familiar with SupCom maps and the game engine, I have seen the beta 1 maps in the editor and I would n

Had a crazy game today, objective was to destroy enemy fortresses. There were only two flags available both deep inside the bases. We didn't pay attention and just passed quickly around it, so basicaly we had no flag captured the whole game. Hm, at some point I realized our warscore was 0 and could not buy any upgrades for the base apart from the first ones which require just money. Not the case with the enemy though, they were doing good and it seemed we will loose. However,
[quote who="Annatar11" reply="9" id="2173158"]Even though you could theoretically map the controls to a gamepad, it doesn't change the fact that the gamepad is a very clunky mechanism to use for a game that needs to be precise. Why do you think FPS games on consoles have huge crosshairs and very generous hit boxes, and the PC FPS games have a dot? The mouse is capable of very precise and very quick movement which a gamepad has no way of matching. Just imagine trying to interrupt a

Microsoft's gaming network gamelive or whatever is called IS available for Windows also, just that the devs didn't want that. Also you can already hook up a Xbox controller to your PC and play it, if you're some kind of masochist . Gamepads are only good for driving games and fighting games (altough i prefer a keyboard for the latter). If they would have made this game for a console too few people would have bought it, too many braindead playing all the crappiest games
Do you at any point have alive units going under the map floor? No. Do you at any point have units going behind artistic elements? No. Do the flying units go below the egde of the map preventing other units from seeing/hitting them? No. Do you have arcs, bridges, levels over/under the map where units will be higher/lower than others, affecting their aim/damage? No. Do you at any point have alive units move outside the playing area? No. Is the playing ar

There are mobile game developers that spend on a mobile title more than 100k so a PC game that's been in production for at least 2 years (first screen from a playable version emerged an year ago) will go higher...
