I am (Im thinking never again) at the stage in dread lords where I have to take the planet Teth (IMPOSSIBLE). They killed me off in about 100 to 150 turns. As soon as I built a defender (about 10 to 15 turns into level) the dread lords destroyed it. I bought another one, a few turns later they destroyed it. A few turns later all my ships were destroyed inc. Voyager. So, I came to conclusion that it was pointless building/buying any ships so resorted to making buildings and research, w

Im new to this game and am busy with the Dread Lord campaign (the part where I have to take control of a dread lord planet (Xilith or smething like that)). Ive played outside the campaign and had all the weapons on the tech tree, but when playing the campaign only the beam attack techs and armor defence exist. How do I get the deflectors and missile defence?
