Im playing at gigantic size with only few planets, about 5 each race, since mamaging more annoys me, and I think it gives the game a good feeling. Still, at obscene difficulty, starting near Korath for example, they simply rush me. Of course, they ll attack even with me having good diplomacy and trading relations, since I cant get my fleet even near a level with em. What are you doing in such situations?

Thanks! Looks like if I choose random opponents, the comp is automatically selecting a random team partner for me, for whatever reason. You have to define the other races and set their relation to unknown.

Just started playing TA, and I get a random partner with the sign team. Does this mean a permanent alliance from the start? If so, does the AI build teams, too , and can I see this? Can it be deactivated? No Alliance Win?

Hi, I think the Ability to forge an alliance is a bit too powerful. It is rather easy to get even a stronger player to ally with you by using trade. When you do this with even a second one, you could just wait till they have wiped out the rest of the galaxy and you win by the alliance victory condition. Of course It wont work all the time, but pretty often.Even with this condition deactivated, you could slowly steal your partners planets by using influence bases. <p

I think I use the highest AI, I still have a 10% economic bonus, but this should not influence it. Yeah, many Influence bases are being build, even in the right places, but not upgraded at all. Perhaps they are bulding some Influence bases just for tourism income or range? That would explain some strange locations. While military, economic and mining bases are relatively well upgraded, this really sticks out. This is strange, since it would be quite easy to pro

Hi, I just played the game for one month on small to large maps with random opponents. I figured that building influence starbases close to others planets maxed out with high influence tech is a grat way to get that planet easily. Strangely, the Computer AI seems never to use this tactic, even when having the tech and their military is way to low to achieve military victory. this makes the Game a bit boring wher you are not into figh
