Agreed. Many games end without a player on both sides because the losing side leaves. That is unfair for many winning teams They should add a trigger: if at 5 (or 10, they have the stats, not me^^) minutes there are still players on each sides, then the favor points are recorded. This way they still prevent abuses but you don't have to suffer from it. The conceide button will probably solve that problem anyway, they just
Favor should be saving correctly. However, be aware that custom games save to a different pool than pantheon/skirmish, and if a game finishes without at least one human player on each side, favor will not be recorded.
Ok well that clears up why it didn't save since we had rage quitters (whoopee) Now what's the deal with the whole pool thing? how do I properly tell how much favor I have to use for custom vs skirmish/pantheo
I've gotten mixed reports from friends and people online that favor is working and some people saying it's not working. Is favor working correctly for people (both buying items and accumulating points). My favor is still borked.. I haven't tested buying items since I don't have much favor but I can't accumulate points and I just have the items unlocked that have been unlocked for a month now... *sigh*
well it looks like theres at least a side effect to the rage quitting that is happening (to me at least) that's even more infuriating than the rage quit itself.. i played a few matches today and in 2 matches that we were winning handily, someone on the other side would rage quit and then cause someone on my side to disconnect the first time it happened I was the other person that was disconnected and put into the match with all AI.. so I was punished because some guy couldn't
right now when someone rage quits and disconnects whoever is connected to him gets booted too thus not only ruining the game for the people whos side he was on but ruining it for the guys on the winning side becuase someone got disconnected because someone else rage quit because they couldn't handle losing today out of 4 matches.. i had 3 people rage quit on the other side and either I or another friend was disconnected when a person rage quit in the 3 out of the 4 matches.. so now yo
The reason we have to connect to players in the lobby before putting them into the lobby is because Demigod, not us, handle the in game connections. We hand off the connection (the socket) to Demigod once users are connected. So we’ve had to spend time developing something that will let us connect people who are in the lobby even which is some very specialized coding. We have also had to work on setting up Proxy servers for people wh
played some on the beta patch and connections were alot more consistent and alot faster still had the occasional blip here and there with someone that got a 0 ping but a reconnect usually fixed it.. was able to get some 4v4s and 3v3s going with ease.. didnt try 5v5s yet lookin good so far
make it so that people lose favor when they quit early.. you could have it be like 100 favor within 0 - 10 minutes of the game starting, 75 for 10-15 mins of game starting, 50 for 15-20 mins of game starting, 0 from there on just throwin an idea out there that might deter people from leaving so early..
I'm using Windows 7 RC1 so I'm sure that could possibly be a problem but what is happening is that I can archive Demigod fine. I see the .impulse files in the location that they should be archiving to. When I go to click on Restore archive.. in Impulse, nothing happens. The cursor changes to the waiting cursor for a quick second and then changes back and it goes back to my games list. Anyone else having this issue or anyone else tested archiving / restori
just tried to get a 3v3 custom game going on beta and it proved unsuccessful.. pretty much the same results on non beta patch i tried it with 2 other friends of mine that got connected to me immediately so i thought "great!" but then it was a revolving door of people trying to connect and failing or connecting and having 0 pings to each other tried rehosting and then my friends couldnt connect to each other.. after we got that resolved while other people were trying to connect
I think hes talking about chain stunning, and it's a legit tactic. I've killed stronger players because a UB will use the health drain, ill hit him with my boulder, then hammer slam. It feels great when this happens. Don't change stun, play smarter and try not to take on more then one DG. Or get the favor item that makes you immune.
I agree.. chain "stunning" is a valid PvP tactic and has been for a long time in all
thanks alot.. very informative post
This week we’re going to try to release a public beta version on Wednesday for those people who want to help us see if the update resolves their problems while avoiding the scenario where the system impacts those who are playing the game fine right now.
Is anyone really playing the game fine right now? I can play the game ok (skirmishes, 2v2s, 3v3s, 4v4s sometimes, 5v5s if jesus is around to help) during certain t

I'm not sure what everyone else is experiencing but I started to run task manager in my 2nd monitor to see what the memory usage was with Demigod and as an example my game uses about 150MB of memory on startup and when I looked up during the middle of a LAN match using Hamachi I was up to 800MB and then by the time the match ended I was over 940MB. I'm sure other people are experiencing issues with game slowdowns but I'm guessing maybe that's why its causing games to go slow and lag s
I was playing last night and noticed that from time to time I couldn't throw a heal on anyone (including myself) until I moved from my spot and then tried the spell again. I wasn't able to replicate it but it happened a few times and was the same thing each time. I'm not sure if it's related to how long I stand still in one spot but I was able to heal most of the time correctly... just ran into a few bugged occurances. It's insanely annoying when it happens though as it al
