Yeah, I have the same issue. It's not in anyway anything critical; it's just really annoying the times you forget about it and are forced into shock by the opening cinematics. Sort of made me consider using /nosound even though I don't have any performance-related issues. This ought to be easily fixed. It wasn't this way in any previous versions, so I'm guessing some coder just slipped and messed it up. Just hoping they notice this and bother to fix it.
