Well I did Pm everyone freeman. everyone who was on here who i knew. well said seeker, even though we are the same person it's still nice to talk to yourself once in a while.

Cya means good bye, it's short for see ya or see you. Now Taliesin, I got some scores to settle with you. I'm not stupid I can see you've been logging on to check the forums long after your last post. you logged on not too long ago, No game, why are you stalking me and making my life miserable on the net!?
Also the demo doesn't have the latest COM Player scripting, It is likely that the demo's Ai's are dumb compared to the latest games which enforce a very smart AI. By the way, an AI knows where all the resources and stuff are because they build many scout ships during the colonization rush. reveils the map early on and leaves them at tactical advantage over those who didn't scout. revealing the location to vital resources and planets.
Yea, as far as actual physics go, faster than light is impossible.
actually it is possible. it's just stopping that is the main issue. Coz if you stopped suddenly everything inside that object would just keep going, therefore you would be a red paint job on your wall. Litterally.
you and me both hallben. Stardock should handle Galciv3 when it comes out. their the only ones I really trust to do it correctly.
So by ability bonuses do you mean like modified xml documents that can be placed in the mods section of the galciv2 directory?
What would happen if you used a custom tech tree in a metaverse recorded game? would it post a cheaters flag on your game? simple question but I would appreciate an answer.
Don't worry, even in Twilight arnor cakewalk don't expand their empire imediately. if there is an increase in the difficulty it's mostly noticable on the nhigher lvl's of play. Also you might wanna read up or check out the new features like the terror stars or the asteriods. There are quiet a few improvements and addons compared to the demo. It's very advance. once you get the basics down try Twilight arnor.
though the starships in the Stargate Universe travel MUCH faster than any equivilant Star Trek vessel; for example a Star Trek Starship travelling at TNG Cochrane Warp Factor of 9.9999 (an impossible speed to reach for all 'current' Starships) would take 15 years to reach the Pegasus Galaxy (under the assumption, as given by dialogue, that the Pegasus Galaxy is the Pegasus Dwarf Irregular Galaxy which is about 3 million LY away from the Milky Way) vs A
... Well at least the serials ARE valid. people there are just over thinking a very simple answer. Dispite What happens in the conference rooms, UL has to be support by impulse or both companies will be marked by potential customers in the future "don't buy from them, last game update they brought out wasn't supported". Not only that but this word will spread so I don't understand why they don't just support it and then discuss terms. Customers are the ones who fill your wallets.
does anyone find that if you focus on Economy before Military you become more stable in the long run? I was just playing a game the other day with the korx trying to get some economical experience and I found that they weren't too shabby. I was quiet interested to find that a strong economy benefits you in diplomacy aswell as millitary, treasury, production and influence (from a 3rd way point of veiw). it's true money makes the world go round. I can't say I blame the races of the univ
lol, cloaks would definately be useful especially for trade.
So i'm guessing that's why my angery letter didn't reach them. I've had no response.
or maybe, did anyone stop to think, how good the player is determines the AI's levels againest you. Deth could be getting better, there for the his mil, soc and res apear to be matching the AI. means not only does your points go up but your enemy's come back down to meet yours scores? just a theory, but it could explains something.
I've never even heard of Kalypso up till now, but I say they are the most unprofessional group of lazy sods I've seen yet. Who the hell brings out a game without full inserting it into their data files and having and open link for registration? Poor stardock is taking the hit from ill informed newbies and having to sort this mess out coz their name is on the product.
I reckon in the next GC2 update they should experiment with Cloaks. That black hole idea would be good... but what happens once it consumes ALL the stuff on the map? that might be a problem. but whilst we are on the subject, why not add comets? or meteorite showers? Add nebular to increase research of a planet just like the asteroids increase production. Planets look a bit static, they don't rotate around the sun. Imagine the new level of tactical ability this woul
... you actually have a point there. how in the world to you defend against an enemy that knows exactly what you do every hour of the day?
Not everyone is human. Aliens wouldn't know the difference between humans. same for humans, they wouldn't know the difference between aliens till their spread out all over and operating table. that's why war makes the world go round, in this case it's suit up and conquor the galaxy with sabotage and loading artillery. To me if you can conquer a planet and save those farms then that's 1 less tile improvement you have to waste money on, better than striking the farm and taking
If you also look at their moral support you'll find coms don't have my concern for it. check your popularity rating compared to theirs. I think you'll find that so will be around the 60 mark. it's just enough to keep their party in on an election and good enough to pull them out of a total uprise. That means they have higher taxes, leads on to better production funds and bam, there's your 200% output.
I like your thinking Antracer. Hey! we could make a mod together. I was just thinking maybe there IS a way to lower ship visibility. I know it's pretty far fetched but i'm sure I spotted something on it whilst going on a systems check. If we could make a ship that could go unnoticed for a relivily short time. Make a tech tree of gradually advancing technologies, Like um.. Starting as sensor inference equipment right down to shift a ship into subspace in order to hide it. what do you think?</p
hadifa I segest you look into the manual, you'll see the COM's just use better algorithms than they once did. They turn down their income to produce ships faster. eventually with the colonization boom they'd be earning some good money and have an outstanding production rate. since they get the same bon uses as you I segest you try thinking of new ways to start your games, you might find you have an advantage yourself in the long run.
Can't argue with that (partly coz I can't update UL until Kaylpso gets it up on Impulse), honestly I have never seen a cloaked ship or anything close too. can you tip me on what they are and where you get them? I could use that kind of power in warfare.
Quoting antracer, reply 8The 'eyes of the universe' deal ruins the game for me. No surprises. I agree, and AI often does not go for Sensor techs very quickly, so the never get this themselves. I think Stardock should keep Eyes of Universe, but massively scale it down and make it a 5-7 Pc Bonus (and you don't get to see every ship on the map).
Has anyone actually thought of cloaking technology? Adds a whole
ah... sorry bout that, should have read more in-depth and THANK YOU for handling it [e digicons]\o/[/e] . I'm just gonna send this onto their emails, ask them what the hell they are doing.
You have got to be joking me! Galciv2 UL wasn't registered to impulse BEFORE the release date. Here i am just spent 60 bucks to find I can't even play on the metaverse. what are you guys at stardock doing up there that made you miss the due date? (if I seem aggravated it's because I feel i've just been conned).
