It sure does look like you're right, that Impulse isn't aware that I've already installed them and wants to download the whole apps. (Even though it shows them as registered.) I did a standard install, and then installed Impulse. (They're out in \program files\stardock\totalgamin\galciv2 and ..\galciv2\darkavatar.) How do I make sure that Impulse is aware of the installations and actually sees which versions I have? (I've tried refresh, but no

Thanks for the reply, but in my impulse (v3.10.330), there is no Updates tab. There are only tabs for Explore, Community, My Games, and My Desktop. I tried "Check for updates..." but nothing changes. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Beginner questions about updating in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Just bought GC2 gold and have started having fun and losing sleep, but I have a bunch of questions about updating the game(s). Some of these are pretty basic, so I apologize if these have been answered before elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything that made me sure of what to do. My GC2 gold versions seem to be both 1.5.0.0 (when I look at the .exe files). When I go into Impulse this is what I see for updates: gc2 dreadlords 1.53.136 1.4gb (!!)
