Please remind me what else beside bigger ships and rebel factions. I haven't read anything regarding game play and how rebel factions work in the general game play. I don't have enough information to pre-order. Also, Impulse is now Gamestop product and I don't use Impulse anymore. Can I get update without Impulse?

Maybe IronClad can post the updates on their site without going through Impulse. I can then buy a box version of Rebellion at retailers. Also, Impulse is now Gamestop property; Stardock does not have to publish their game exclusively on Impulse, right? I can see Stardock giving in to Steam because of their larger user community. Business is business, nothing personal, right?
Hello Ironclad, Now that Impulse is bought by Gamestop, is there way for YOUR game, Sins, to be on different digital download distributors such as GOG and Gamersgate? If not, then I will certainly miss your game and Rebellion, and so long.
From War of Magic to this, Stardock might be in big trouble like running out of cash to pay the big developers they hired to fix Elemental. Good bye Impulse. Hello Gamersgate and GOG, my money will go to you now.
Waiting for game play features before pre-order. New ships, new factions, better explosions are fine but playing the same way gets old quick. I would like to know, for instance, what the rebels have to offset the advantages in material resources the loyalists to be successful; what new tactics are available to the rebels to be able to fight; what about the possibilities of a mixed human-vasari-advent rebels with weird ships designs. If we are going to play the same w
Great news. Have not been sinning for awhile. Must start again. Hopefully it will be ready at year end.
I love Distant Worlds and the expansion because: + Options and more options + Automation: everything automated or nothing at all + Private sectors: making the galaxy alive! + Fuel system: one must know how to plan ahead as in thinking strategically, not tactically. I, however, want the developer to shrink the range of the ship. I don't want to travel half a galaxy at the start of the game. Well, I guess I belong to the "love it" group.
Thanks, Fistalis.
The post mentions nothing regarding War of Magic development. FE is a new game in Elemental world, developed by a new team. I just want to know if War of Magic is done and abandoned or Frogboy continues to improve War of Magic to what players have suggested since release.
Does this mean War of Magic is done, finished, pushed to the side, placed in dustbin for Stardock? AI development will stop, so we are stuck with a game that is not as good as you can make it.
Yes but still bad. Won't be playing Ubisoft games. Just my stand. Yours might be different.
Seriously, why do you post this here? You should put this is the Matrix forum. Impulse/Stardock will not help you. I did not have your problem with downloading and installing DW at all.
In Frogboy [reply (#32)], you can trust. BUY IT and by 1 year anniversary of the release, the AI will be much better as Frogboy mentioned in his various posts. AI usually takes time to improve due to user inputs.
Why not try Distant Worlds at Matrix Game. It is RTS with pause. Distant Worlds > GalCiv2. Sins is fun if you don't have time to spend playing game.
Depending on what one prefers. For me, it is better than GalCivII.
A year from release when the AI is perfected and all bugs are crushed. That is with most SD made games (GalCiv2 & Elemental). Sad but true.
The word most players used is "EVENTUALLY" for Elemental based SD reputation. So the choice is clear, isn't it? Wait for Elemental and play FFH2 in the mean time.
In one of his posts, Frogboy said AI won't be up to what he wants in a year from now (from August 24th).
The main reason for the previous post is I want to mod Three Kingdoms.
Do NPCs and player controlled avatars in Elemental age over time/turns? I am thinking an 90 turns barely able to walk soldier is not going to beat a 30 years/turns old soldier.
Space #X/RTS sucker here. Already pre-ordered. Looking forward to try it out.
I hope this will not be another Steam exclusive.
Common Stardock! Please win some for Reactor.
..... And as Brad has said, we will not support the creation or growth of a monopoly in the DD market. .....
What will Stardock do to prevent that? Does GOO receive any audience from publishers? I would say that lately Impulse is losing out to Steam.
Steam is not the problem. We can choose not to buy and play games with Steam. We also cannot blame Valve for having score many more games than Stardock and others. Valve is the big kid on the block. The question really is what Stardock is going to do. Will it let Impulse be just a place for its own games like Matrixgames? Will Frogboy turn "evil" to compete? Playing Mr. Niceguy seldom get anything done. Will the fan of Impulse/Stardock willing
