Endless Universe in U.S. in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I just played the Dark Avatar demo, and really enjoyed it, so now I'm looking into buying the full game. The Endless Universe bundle looks like what I'd like to get, and it's available online from U.S. sellers, but I've seen a lot of posts mentioning that it's only a European release. Will I still be able play EU and have it fully supported, or will registration/updates be blocked if I'm running it on a computer outside of Europe? Also, is it worth getting the original GC2: Dread Lord
