I am going to take you immensely for this solution, wayne. I followed the suggestion from the link you gave and it works like a champ. Just in time, too, as it was starting to irritate me. To sum up the link, as it is a little lengthy. Basically, the language key in the registry for the game was blank. For whatever reason, this was causing it to crash.
